Yes! Day one! Now confirm FFXV please...

If Nintendo can land Final Fantasy VII Remake ... that would be the big one IMO. That is going to outsell FFXV.

Considering Dark Souls 2's producer laughed when someone proposed the idea of porting it to WiiU, I'm not holding breath for this rumour. Now, WiiU isn't the same system as Switch and neither is the philosophy behind them, so there could have some merit and legitimatecy to the rumour itself, but we'll see.

It would be nice playing Dark Souls on the go, that being said.

EDIT: would be lovely if they keep Blighttown the way it is. That place is best played when you are like at 13 fps.

It does seem though that Nintendo is at least trying to aim the Switch at a bit of an older/upmarket audience at first.

The trailer had zero kids in it.

Switch is kinda like the PS4 of gaming portables in some ways as it's fairly high end hardware for a portable.

The Wii U carrying the "Wii" brand brought a lot of stigma with it as far as being something for casual/soccer moms/kids. But Switch isn't following that branding.

If they add first person mode like the mods you can get for the PC versions I'd likely buy it on Switch but not into the third person view myself.

Ehhh, I know the point you're trying to make, and I agree (hence why I said the rumour might have some merit and legitimatecy this time around), but I just want to point out that Nintendo's "trailers", kids in it or not, are the most genuinely fake (but entertaining nonetheless) trailers you can ever conjure. The Switch reveal one, I don't know what's better, the bunch of people that's chilling around in a rooftop and a random woman comes to play Mario, or the bunch of people playing basketball in some random street that stop doing so to play with their Switchs.

I would get it too, but I would probably wait for a discount. This kind of games are not my cup of tea.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I agree to some extent, but also the "Wii" brand also came with tremendous baggage as well, so being free of that lets Switch start at a somewhat blank slate.

It's also the games they chose to highlight in the video ... Skyrim and NBA2K and Zelda (obviously), show a little more balance than showing something like ... Wii Fit and Nintendo Land.

Guaranteed system seller there.

Because if you play it you'll break your system in frustration and have to buy a new one.

Brilliant get, Nintendo.

I'm not sure it would perform well on a Nintendo Platform, we'll see.

Funnily enough, I have been thinking lately that a Dark Souls trilogy for the Switch would be a great idea!Hopefully they greenlit the project and release on the Switch.

If this is true, and that they got to run Dark Souls 3 at a good performance, then this basically silence people that have been worried that the Switch dosent have enough power to run games, and keep third party happy.

Other thing that Kate reports, is that the dock DOES allow the Switch to display 1080p on the tv.It basically just allows it to run at a higher clock speed(components inside the main unit), Im guessing due to the constant flow of energy and no worries with overheating/battery life.

If true, looking forward to hearing about Switch systems being thrown against walls and broken in anger.

Its just all part of a conspiracy to make people double dip on The Switch and boost the sales numbers!

DAMN YOU NINTENDO!!!!!!!
