In case people didn't know, today is a very big day for politics indeed. Europe is going to have a referendum in Italy, and an election in Austria (the far-right leader lost, but the margin was relatively close). Populism is on the rise everywhere, and with Italy expected to vote an astounding "no" in the referendum, its going to be a stunning lose for the EU.

I'll be watching the referendum closely (since the election is already over), and I'll update when the final results are in.

for parlament reform in Italy, Okay, so it's nothing like Brexit then, first Trump now this shit, I swear I'm going to be putting on dinner later, will be Chicken or Fish THAT CHOICE COULD ROCK THE WORLD LIKE BREXIT!!!! Of course it matters. This is a lash against the EU. It could seen insignificant from one referendum, but understand Italy is the 4th (soon to be 3rd) largest country in the EU. This referendum is going to be another crack in the system, and with the elections in France and Germany next year, 2017 is going to be just as big.

I live in Italy, the Referendum isn't really important for the EU but what will follow might indeed cause trouble: If the No wins then our PM Matteo Renzi (Left) is likely to leave meaning that Anti-EU partys such as Lega Nord (far right, quite racist) and Movimento 5 Stelle (central, divulgates fake news via the Internet to gain popularity) might be leading the country afterwards.
tbh the Referendum is only good for Italy, it reduces the number of senators, with a yearly gain of 50M € for Italy, it abolishes a public autorithy that never did anything and that costs 10M $ each year, moreover it overcomes the perfect bicameralism which exists only in our country and slows down the production of new laws which, added to our extremely slow burocracy, makes approving even the simplest of laws extremely long

But it also prevents the EU from bypassing the constitution of Italy is that correct (if a no vote happens)? I can make stupid mistakes, so tell me if I'm wrong lol. Either way, its going to be important as it causes more political turmoil across Europe.

Too bad the right-wing lost in Austria, now the left can continue with it's insane open borders policy.

A sad day for Europe.

The Germans and the Austrians nowadays believe it's the duty of the white man to sacrifice himself in order to take care of all the world's problems.
