PlayStation Experience is first and foremost about celebrating games. All kinds of games. So we really shouldn’t overhype ourselves and expect any kind of major E3 level announcements. Who am I kidding.
The Last of Us 2 has been in active development at Naughty Dog since early 2014, might be revealed at PSX
The Last of Us achieved massive success, both critically and commercially. Sony shipped over 7 million units on PS3 alone and including sales of the remastered PS4 version the game might be over 12 million copies sold. And fans of the game might not have to wait long for a second chapter as it seems that the game has been in active development since at least early 2014.
Michael Knowland finished his work on “prototype head sculpts” at Naughty Dog in April 2014, and if his LinkedIn Profile is to be believed, The Last of Us 2 has been in development for quite some time. Additionally, Naughty Dog Boss Evan Wells admitted later that year that the second team at Naughty Dog was developing something on the scale of Uncharted.
"We definitely have another project on the scale of Uncharted in very early pre-production stages," Evan Wells said back in June 2014. "We have the sizeable team that it takes to get something like that off of the ground, but it's got a long runway in front of it. We have a lot of great ideas, and some stuff that is already getting everybody jazzed and excited."
Additionally, industry insider, Shinobi, has hinted that the game will be revealed before E3 2017.

Marvel vs. Capcom 4 might be revealed at PSX, Iron Galaxy allegedly developing
According to verified leaker, OsirisIsBlack, Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is in development though the rumors about it being revealed at PSX after the Capcom Cup finals and it being developed by Iron Galaxy come from other sources.
Whether these other sources are trustworthy remains to be seen but a user called Ryce says: “Just to clarify, I heard that MvC4 will be announced after the Capcom Cup grand finals at PSX, not during the press conference itself.” Capcom Cup finals are played on Saturday, December 3rd at 6 pm PST.
Lastly, the rumor about it being developed by Iron Galaxy stems from a user called “FACE”. If true, this would not be the first time that Iron Galaxy is hired by Capcom to develop a fighting game as the studio has previously developed games like Marvel vs. Capcom Origins and Darkstalkers Resurrection.
Even though the majority of their work has consisted of porting work and technical consulting, Iron Galaxy has expressed a desire to grow and hired their new CEO, Adam Boyes, who is former VP for third party relations and developer technology group at PlayStation.

A Wipeout game for PS4 might be revealed at PSX 2016
According to industry insider “Shinobi”, a Wipeout game for PS4 might be revealed at PSX 2016. Shinobi seems to be confident that the game is in development but can’t say whether it’s 100% certain to be revealed at the annual event kicking off with a live Showcase on Saturday, December 3rd.
“PSX is as good a place as any I suppose. I'm not 100% sure when”, Shinobi said and revealed that the game is “a remastering” of a few of the existing games. Whether that refers to the home console games “Wipeout HD” and its expansion “Wipeout Fury” from 2009, the handheld PS Vita game “Wipeout 2048” from 2012 or an entirely different game remains to be seen.

Hint indicates that a demo of Resident Evil 2: Remake will be included in Resident Evil 7
A loading screen in the Resident Evil 7 teaser includes this certain strip of numbers on the left-hand side: 584fdUS-00551/90009. The second string, 00551/90009, corresponds to the product ID of a specific version of Resident Evil 1: Director’s Cut that included a demo for Resident Evil 2.
This may be indicating that we will see a demo for the remake of Resident Evil 2 packed in with Resident Evil 7 when it comes out next year on January 24, 2017.

A standalone singleplayer DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will reportedly be revealed at PSX
The DLC will reportedly revolve around the adventures of Samuel Drake and Victor Sullivan. The reveal will consist of a gameplay segment, followed by a medley of cutscene footage, and concluding with the name of the DLC.
The DLC is standalone, and as such is playable without needing to own the original game. Both Nolan North and Troy Baker are reprising their roles for the standalone, which is reportedly longer than The Last of Us’ critically acclaimed DLC Left Behind, and is internally projected for release in the first quarter of 2017.

Mark Cerny confirmed interest in Knack 2 in 2014, 3D animator confirmed working on the game
Back in July 2014, PS4 lead architect, Mark Cerny, explained in an interview with IGN that after having focused on hardware and tech for so long he was looking forward to returning to games, and already has a new one in the pipeline.
Asked whether or not we'd see a follow-up to the PS4 launch title, Knack, Cerny seemed positive that it could happen and confirmed that he wanted to develop a sequel. “There’s a lot unexplored there,” he said. “I think anybody who played the game would tell you that!”
Furthermore, 3D Animator, Mindy Liang, from Taiwan-based XPEC Entertainment Inc accidentally confirmed the existence of Knack II. On her LinkedIn profile, the developer noted that she’s been working on Final Fantasy XV since August 2014 as well as Knack II since May 2015, suggesting that the latter has been in development for some time.
Lastly, to a user hoping to see a sequel to Knack, industry insider, Shinobi, said: “Well, then...hey I got good news I guess.”

Blizzard are reportedly working on a new first-person game
Blizzard currently has a public job listing for what it describes as a "first-person" game. Although details beyond that are broad reaching, it does mention that the role will work on the engine for what is a multiplatform game.
It has also been rumored that Blizzard is working on Diablo 4, although its absence from BlizzCon 2016 has cast doubt on the existence of the project.

Sony’s North West Studio allegedly developing a Studio Ghibli-esque PSVR title
Back in May 2015 it was revealed that Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) was hiring for an ‘ambitious’ new first-party developer named North West Studio. The group is set to work exclusively on PSVR projects, creating new experiences for the PlayStation 4 peripheral. It’s a few months on now and it appears that North West Studio is still hiring. In fact, a recent job listing for the developer drops some big hints at what fans can expect from one of its first projects.
The listing, posted over on Develop, is looking for an Environment Artist to come and start work on a ‘brand new IP for Project Morpheus’. The company is looking for individuals with skills in water features, rock formation, flora and fauna modelling and, tellingly, experience with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 development toolset among other aspects. Perhaps the most intriguing part of the listing is looking for experience with “Stylised folio similar to Studio Ghibli”.

PS4 exclusive JRPG allegedly being worked on at From Software
According to Verendus, a known Sony insider, the Japanese developer which rose to popularity with the Souls franchise is currently developing a JRPG exclusively for Sony’s console.
”Next FS exclusive for PS4 currently in development is a Sony published first party title, like Bloodborne was, and is a JRPG.” He said as much in an answer about the apparent lack of JRPGs on PlayStation 4.
From Software is confirmed to be working on 3 games including a new Armored Core. In an interview with MCV, Hidetaka Miyazaki told that he is not working on Bloodborne 2 or Dark Souls 4.

Guerrilla Cambridge working on “high profile, multi-million selling franchise”, new Killzone coming?
Guerrilla’s Cambridge Studio (UK) is looking for an experienced Audio programmer to work on forthcoming projects in a high profile, multi-million selling franchise. As what this “high profile, multi-million selling franchise” could be, the most obvious solution would be Killzone, especially after Guerrilla Cambridge did the universally praised Killzone: Mercenary for PS Vita.
Considering that the main Guerrilla studio is currently working on Horizon: Zero Dawn, it would stand to reason to think that the Killzone franchise may have been (at least temporarily) moved to the other side of the English Channel. That said, whatever that franchise is, it’s going to be a big one.

Mo-cap sessions hint at new Devil May Cry soon to be revealed
The rumor began when Johnny Yong Bosch, who played the role of Nero in Devil May Cry 4, recently posted a picture with Reuben Langdon, who played the iconic role of Dante, the series mainstay. Both actors were clearly in a recent mo-cap session.
For those wondering if this is just an old shot of them doing work on Devil May Cry 4, think again. When asked what this picture is related to, Johnny said “Can’t say.” This, combined with the removal of the photo, makes it all very suspicious.
There’s also the recent tweet from Devil May Cry 2, 3, and 4 director, Hideaki Itsuno, who confirmed that he’s begun work on a new project, however it cannot be announced just yet.

“Liberty City” might be coming to Grand Theft Auto V as singleplayer DLC
GTA V single-player mode has long been overshadowed by the popularity of GTA Online, which has often driven away Rockstar’s developmental efforts including DLC releases towards the latter. However, a new single-player DLC for GTA V based on Liberty City might be coming in the near future.
The news come from prolific GTA leaker “Funmw2”, who has a reliable track-record of predicting multiple GTA DLC releases with precision in the past. “Funmw2” has revealed a text file pertaining to the Executives and Other Criminals DLC, wherein we can find a piece of code that points to a possible upcoming DLC release based on night clubs along the lines of Ballad of Gay Tony in GTA IV.
Additionally, a Rockstar artist's portfolio website seems to have revealed an area from GTA IV's Liberty City remade within GTA V's version of the RAGE engine. Adrian Page, who currently works at Rockstar, going by his LinkedIn page, uploaded a series of what appear to be in-engine concepts to the portfolio, of which one appears to be GTA IV's Middle Park location.

Additionally, we know that the game will feature compelling characters with unique clothing laid out into patterns as Sucker Punch is also looking for a Pattern Maker to join the Sucker Punch Character Team.
We still don’t know if the title will be another inFAMOUS, or an entirely new IP, but it definitely will share some relevant elements with the studio’s most popular franchise.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor 2 might be revealed in 2016, new Batman Arkham game possibly teased

Industry insider Verendus claims that a new Virtua Fighter game is in the works
According to insider in the Japanese video games industry Verendus, Sega may soon be making announcements for a new Virtua Fighter, as well as a PlayStation-exclusive title that's not a fighting game.
Verendus is perhaps best known for getting Final Fantasy XV's name change and platform change right before it was officially announced at E3 2013. He was also able to confirm that From Software and Sony were collaborating on Bloodborne way before it was announced.
The rumor of a new Virtua Fighter being in the works certainly makes a lot of sense, especially considering the recent news of a Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Version B for Japanese arcades that will lack online connectivity, which essentially means that Sega will no longer be able to change or update VF5FS through downloadable patches.

Sony Producer would like to bring Wild Arms to PS4, at work on unannounced game
The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has been delivered to the Japanese newsstands, and it includes an interesting Q&A with SCE Producer Kentaro Motomura, who has worked as the Producer on the Wild Arms franchise since the third game and on other classics like Jeanne d’Arcand the recent Soul Sacrifice.
Talking about the Wild Arms series, that ranked second behind Final Fantasy in a poll on the magazine asking readers what series they’d like to see a sequel for, Motomura-san mentioned that he’d definitely like to bring the adventures of the “migratory birds” (Wild Arms) to PS4 and PS Vita. Motomura-san also added that he can’t talk about his next game yet. All he can say is that it’s not finished.
Interestingly enough, Wild Arms has been recently brought up by Sony Japan with a series of crossover illustrations between PlayStation feline mascots Toro and Kuro, Wild Arms Alter Code F and Wild Arms XF.
Additionally, a concept designer, Ioan Domitrescu, shared 3 pieces of Western-themed concept art he had done for Sony. These were quickly removed.

Two unannounced JRPGs might be in development at Sony Japan Studio
According to industry insider, Verendus, two unannounced JRPGs are currently in development at Sony Japan Studio. One of the games is reportedly a financially huge experiment as it aims to make a first party JRPG on the scale of Final Fantasy.
“If this comes to fruition, and is successful, then there is a franchise opportunity which can be exploited. Probably the most experimental project as if it bombs, then they'll never touch anything like it again,” Verendus said back in December 2013. “The big question mark is whether they can translate some of that success to the West which will obviously be an aim.”
It has been speculated whether the other hinted JRPG is 2015’s collaboration between Japan Studio and From Software, Bloodborne, as Verendus mentioned that it would sell similarly to Killzone and Infamous, which it did, and that it would have a good chance to melt the hardcore, which might be a reference to the difficulty of the Souls games.
Additionally, Sony has been teasing that there will be "a lot" of Japanese game announcements at this year's PSX.

The ability to change PSN account names hinted at in new PS4 SDK update
For the longest time, one of the most requested features by PlayStation users has been the ability to change their PSN account names. Currently, you have to create a new account if you are unhappy with your name but maybe that is about to change. The patch notes for a recent update to Unreal Engine 4 make mention of PlayStation 4 SDK version 4.008.061, the updated software development kit the engine now supports.
As spotted by NeoGAF user Kirbasin, the page then goes on to say that Sony has updated its developer recommendations to allow users to be identified by their account ID, as opposed to their Online ID. Other functions in the update also make reference to switching from the previous method of returning the online ID, to the new system that uses the account ID.
This could very mean Sony is planning to implement a name change feature of some sort.

PSOne Classics for PS4 with trophy and OS support might be revealed at PSX
Back In 2015, Sony sent out a survey listing all of the PS4 firmware features that gamers may want. In addition to the likes of folders, the questionnaire also included mention of PSOne and PS2 Classics. The latter format launched late last year at PSX 2015, but we're still waiting on the former to accompany it. According to various trademarks, we may not have to wait much longer though. The latest trademark for Lifeforce Tenka happened on October 28th, 2016. Just in time for this year’s PSX.
The majority of fans love the idea of PSOne Classics on the PS4, but while some feel that these should feature cross-buy with the PS3 versions they’ve already bought, others think that they need to be fully integrated into the new-gen system's operating system. Trophies may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they do offer incentive to revisit decades old experiences, and when coupled with the ability to livestream and share screenshots on social media, classic games are certainly infused with new energy. But that all requires time and effort, which the developers will want to charge for.
In a survey, 63% of participants voted “I’m willing to pay for Trophies and full OS integration” while 37% voted “Ditch all of the extra features and give me cross-buy”.
