WiiU - the only Nintendo I don't want to buy because there are almost no reason to have it. Especially when almost all the games I want to play on WiiU will be ported to Switch

Of course you won't have many reasons to buy it when the next console is gonna get out in 4 months, but that's the logical thing, there are few reason to buy a Ps3 in 2014, but there was way more reasons to buy it years before when its biggest exclusives were still exclusives.

Yes, you are right. I wanted to buy Wii U at some point last year but then Nintendo announced NX after the investor's meeting. This made clear to understand that WiiU won't have proper first-party support from that point.

I'm curious why some people voted for SNES... I'm guessing younger people born in the late 90's-early 00's???

It's probably the only Nintendo console where you can't really find something wrong with it.

Wii and WiiU, but for different reasons.

For me, it was the original Game Boy.
I has some great games, but the black/white or green/white visuals were always a big issue to me.
Everything seemed a lot better with the Game Boy Color

Wii U just because I haven't invested time with it. And virtually no RPGs

Not to contradict you or anything, but I could think of five: Xenoblade Chronicles X, Child of Light, Tokio Mirage Sessions, Deus Ex Director's Cut and Mass Effect 3. Admittely, the last two are ports.

Paper Mario Color Splash, Citizens of Earth, Dragon Quest X (Japan only, unfortunately)..... still very short of RPG´s.

Have to go with Wii U mainly I had so many technical issues from the start: Gamepad Malfunction, Wouldn't read games, ect. I loved the games, but that Wii U hardware... sheesh!

Also, as someone who loves Gamecube, it pains me to see all this Gamecube hatin'.

Me too, and I found it nonsense, such an epic console, how is possible to hate it?

I agree. Owned an og Xbox at the very end of its lifecycle, but I always wanted to go to my friend's or uncle's to play with the Gamecube. With The Thousand-Year Door, Smash Bros Melee, F-Zero GX, Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, Soul Calibur 2, Killer7, Ikaruga and the Resident Evil REmake, and but of course, Donkey Konga, I always wanted to keep playing it.

People like to defend the Wii U because it is the fragile small ugly kid. The other ones can defend themselves. That's why they point other consoles, to not hurt the feelings of the kiddo.

Wii U, it was just stupid on Nintendo's part to make GameCube ideas the core of the system while the software library took a similar direction. At least it got some good 2D platformers, unlike the barren GC. What makes the Wii U so disappointing is that Nintendo should have known better. The GC was just the next step on a continued decline, but the Wii U came right after Nintendo's most successful home console. Wii U also managed to surpass the N64's dreadful software droughts and that was not an easy feat.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

I also think the people who think more highly of GameCube don't quite remember the period accurately. It was a system filled with derivative titles, poor design choices, and inferior ports missing features and content.

Monster Hunter, Alphadia Genesis. Now let's talk about those epic N64 rpgs. Lol

The Gamecube. It had the worst game in every Nintendo series ever not named Smash Bros or Metroid.
