Forums - Sales Discussion - October 2016 NPD Thread! Software and hardware estimates up!

Good month for MS and shows how useless the Amazon threads seem to be, no matter how much dedication some spend in it.
But next month, we are team win again. Perhaps then there will also be more posts, seems positive Xbox news don't generate much hype here anymore.

So will they announce the X1 numbers soon?

NPD? Perhaps. When did companies do put out concrete numbers for NPD?

We're going to have to wait until Dec to find out if Amazon can get back on track. When you go from 100% accurate for 3 years to 100% wrong for three four months then you have to start thinking something has changed at Amazon. This is either a blip because of external elements or a change to Amazon's internal calculations. This is an indication of change not proof Amazon was never reliable. If people can't see that (or don't want to) then words fail to be honest.

I mean MS. When was the last time they announced any X1 numbers.

As expected really, Hopefully we get some numbers for an indication of the gap.

It was a long time ago and no matter how often people want numbers, MS chose to use different metrics now, as we all know.

Whatever the case, Amazon can never be the be-all end-all again in arguments because we now know, at any time, it can be dead wrong.

I always follow your sales list and by those charts I expected 100% for PS4 to win october, they will win november because of the pro, but its deffenitely not as great as a tracker as it used to be, I guess we will find out togheter :)

on topic: Well done Xbox one S, its the better slimmed down version, offering some really nice design, uhd playability and the ever populair better playback with higher framerates of great games like mass effect, red dead redemption, the witcher 2 and many more. I cannot wait to join the Xbox family next year with the Scorpio :)
