Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Lets get real about the most likely scenario with NS.

I don't think the Nintendo Switch is a bad name for the upcoming system. It's a simple name for the system and the reveal pretty much shows why they called it that.

I understand why they call it the switch, but case and point, no one on here even calls it the Switch, they call it NS.

third partys will also port their games to iphone/android flagshippes (dont think the NS will be more powerfull then an iphone 7 or galaxy s7 and those models get updates on a yearly bases and will outperform the ns very very soon.
I think third party controll accessaries for smartphones will get a boost as well because of the NS.

So very soon you will be able to play all ns games on your smartphone but those nintendo games. Same scenario as wiiu.

Could be, I don't have much knowledge in mobile phone gaming.

Lmao, let's 'get real' about the NS based on what YOU think its future will be? Like come on.

It was a 3 minute teaser, unless you work at Nintendo and actually had a hand in developing it and know the specs and ins and outs of it, you have no right to say about what its 'most likely' outcome is, nobody does. You have nothing to base any of this off of, and even if you did how would ANYBODY possibly know how a system's future could be when it could have any outcome.

Truly the only thing uncertain is how well it will sell.

Also feel free to post what I got wrong. We can come back in a year or so and see who got more right.

No, no, and no. There is no "right or wrong" in this because you've got nothing to back or support your statements on the so called 'most likely' outcome as you see it. You're just posting your opinion of how you see it going and trying to label it as the 'most likely outcome'.

It's no different from if somebody thought the Nintendo Switch was going to be the best selling system ever made and even beat the PS2, so they make a thread and give their 'reasons' as to why they think, with nothing to back it up, and then label it as the 'most likely outcome' for the system, just because they think that's what's going to happen.

You're entitled to an opinion obviously, but don't try to speak for everyone else or act like this is the 'most likely outcome' when all this is is just speculation and assumptions on your part. It would have been better if you labeled this as a prediction thread.

This is a 3 minute video. Even if it was an hour long you still wouldn't have anything to base this on until Nintendo confirms anything. Even if you think it's going to be weak as fuck or strong as fuck, nobody can know until Nintendo reveals the specs themselves.

So my response to your points are:

1. We have no confirmed specs of what is in the system. And if you're going to try to mention any apparent leaks or rumours, you cannot use that since those could be false or things could have massively changed since then, those could be outdated. Even IF you think you found a valid source of these apparent leaks that doesn't mean it's true, just look at all the apparent NX leakers and all the different information. All we know about the hardware so far is that it's using a Tegra, we don't know if it's the Tegra X1, X2, or some modified one but until Nintendo says so this is all just speculation. So, you have no proof of this and this is just your opinion.

2. While I agree with you on this, and even made a post similar to it in another thread where I think the Switch is definitely going to dominate in Japan, it is still just an assumption and we can't really say that until the system launches and see for ourselves.

3. That's your opinion, I personally am gonna have to get used to the name since I personally thought NX was a good name for the actual console anyway, but it's not bad imo.  At least the Nintendo Switch is Nintendo finally dropping the damn Wii name.

4. Once again this is just you assuming things. Anything could change the trajectory of a system's outcome. If you're thinking about how "Well primarily Nintendo consoles have never sold as well in other regions as they have in Japan" and basing that off of that, then you need to remember things like the Wii.

5. What are you basing this on? This is exactly what i'm talking about. WHERE did this information come from other than you just thinking it. There has been no talk of anything related to how games will run or anything.

6. This is the one thing I will agree on that is most likely a guarantee, but that's obvious since this is combining Nintendo's handheld developers and console developers into one system. They don't HAVE anything else to put games on now except for this.

7. While they do look small, this isn't the type of thing you can say without using it yourself. I remember a lot of people thought the Wii U gamepad would be really uncomfortable and awkward to hold but then people were blown away by how nice it was.

8. Once again, you don't know this. I know you're going to mention the 'leak' about it, so refer to point 1 again.

9. I'm gonna wait on Nintendo to clarify this one more. Even if there's no extra hardware necesarilly in the dock, it doesn't mean it can't help with running games better or making them look better.

10. Every generation Nintendo has been great because of the software. They always have the best top rated games. Even if they do release a super powerful console, that is not the main focus, it is the games. And once again, you're acting like it's going to be super weak when you don't know that.

This thread is nothing more than your predictions or opinions/assumptions.

I like how you didn't even bother to read my post then.

Also no, because no matter if you're predictions turn out right or wrong, it doesn't change the fact that these are just that, your predictions. Predictions that you are trying to force out as if they are the 'most likely outcome'.

If it makes you feel better to not read my full post because you want to keep trying to push your opinions as the 'most likely outcome', then go for it. Have fun.

If saying that to yourself makes you feel better, cool.
