Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Did Nintendo just make a GOOD trailer/ad ?

At 1st, I was upset the reveal was only 3 minutes, but after watching it, 3 minutes was all it needed. It explained everything it needed to in that time and got the message across well. So yeah, I think it was indeed good.

Game wise....not at all, showing games that are all ports and old games isn't the way to go.

Well the Mario was a new Mario.  Mario Kart looks like 8 but has new characters and features.  Splatoon looks like a sequel.  But title drops would have been best to clarify.

Good ad. It had kids in it but they were squid kids...

But where are the OCTOLINGS!?!?!?!?!? -10/10, blunder of the year!

It had kids and squids, but not ATATATATATATA. 5/10 it was ok.

Did not see any kids, only millenial teenagers and young adult anorexic hipsters. But man, what a reveal trailer, very exciting.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

No. Who was this targeting? Who really plays games like that?

I work with Nintendo Germany from time to time as a freelancer in marketing and all I can say is that there went some serious effort in the new ads. Look forward to more in this fashion. Kids' advertising isn't going to vanish completely, but the marketing will get to a whole new direction beginning next year. Nintendo really plans to start a new era.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

No doubt about this. The trailer made that clear. They even managed to put in a small sex push. The guy puts in a cartridge in the slot, and then smiles immediately at a young, furtile woman. That's not an accident. Nintendo will get you women, it whispers...

I mean, to be fair I think Nintendo doesn't care where you play as long as you buy the device, plus the portability is the biggest selling point in such a device...
