Forums - Sony Discussion - Should Shuhei Yoshida be fired from Sony?

I think as far as I can tell he makes a very good job. Games get delayed all the time and people actually complain about unfinished games being thrown at the market. So he probably made the right call. Also does he even decide when games are being released ??

No way. I would rather have a polished game than a rushed one.

What mushrooms are you smoking, cause I want some!

Delays are happening with everyone. You'd need to fire everyone with this logic.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

By the way, Sony Playstation is doing great, if anything give the whole company to Yoshida.
I miss Jack Trenton, he was so cool.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Shu is a stallion. He should stay where he is. If Sony wants to make more affordable games with shorter development windows then it should green light fewer big-budget projects with hundreds of developers and programmers. With the right design philosophy Sony could turn out a lot of games on time and under budget.

Too damn nice? Shuhei Yoshida should have been fired from Sony when he suggested Demon's Souls was shit!

Agreed! PS4 having so few 1st party games in the first 2 years is entirely his responsibility. He should've put games like Puppeteer on the PS4.

Some of the recent projects he greenlighted are questionable as well. Games like Tomorrows Children which look amazing but have terrible gameplay concepts.

Outside of amazing sales, I don't like anything he's done. Playstation 1 and 2 had a certain feel to them. Their libraries were varied and distinct.

Now, Playstation just feels like a different version of Xbox. It mostly relies on COD and third party, online multiplayer titles. It's lost it's identity as a brand imo.

So for me, personally, I wouldn't mind someone taking the company back to what it use to be. But fired is a pretty strong word.

I don't know. He let Knack and The Order happen. Driveclub had a absolutely terrible launch when they could have had Gran Turismo on PS4 instead. Plus he was even offering more money to Hello Games for No Mans Sky.

I think that PSVR should be the deciding factor on whether or not he gets fired.

Shuly your not serious. (Ha ha see what I did there?) He has done wonders with the PlayStation brand. How could anyone expect more from the man? And he is not finished yet. He will elevate PlayStation to an all encompassing entertainment utopia where everyones dreams come true. I get goosebumps just thinking about the future.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!
