Forums - Gaming Discussion - Would you play a Metal Gear game which chronicles the events of Big Shell from Solid Snake's perepective?

Just an interesting thought I got after playing Snake Tales. I think it would have been fun if that happened.

Of course I'd play it, but it might be rather pointless.

I dont even know what that means, but I don't think I would play it even if I did...unless it plays like Metal Gear Rising or something...

What I mean is playing MGS 2, but in Snake's perspective. You'll have to play as "Iroquois Plisken", so you can't act like a spy.

No. Not enough potential for an interesting story since most of the major plot points will be the same. But I would have played it as a separate mode in MGS2 back in the day.

Ah, so if it was like Reverse Rebirth from Chain of Memories, you would have played it?

Yeah, or Ada Wong's campaign in Resident Evil 4 (every version after the GC version.)
I like when games do that. Suikoden 3 also let you play through the story as the villains after you beat the game.

I like playong games from another perspective too. It enchances the narrative.

Yeah, I really like MGS2 the way it is, it wouldn't be the same if you played it from Snake's perspective.

Playing the events of MGS2 from Snake's perspective would ignore the whole point MGS2 tried to make by making you play as Raiden.

I honestly don't care. MGS 2 barely had an impact for me, becuase I played it several years after it released. It would be interesting to see it from another perspective.

The point of MGS2 when playing as Raiden was that he represents you. You can't compare yourself to snake. You are an awkward person who isn't as bad ass as snake. MGS2 is probably my favorite game of all time.
