Go for Pro, bro.
I'm getting a PS Quad Pro, and if you're getting FFXV, then you should know that SE said FFXV will be Pro ready with enhancements.

That's good to hear, but I'm not really interested in FFXV. Thanks for letting me know, anyway.
Slim. It plays the exact same games which is all that really matters.

True, but there's the potential of games running better on the PS4 Pro than the PS4 Slim.
Depends entirely on how much you value that $100 (or $160 if Sony doesn't bundle a game with the PS4P).

I personally think paying an extra $100 for the PS4 Pro over the PS4 Slim will be more worth it to me in the long run than settling for the Slim. Then again, the PS4 Slim Uncharted 4 bundle is a great deal itself imo.

But, you get the same basic result. The Pro is like playing a Genesis game on a 32X.

That's an interesting comparison. Did the 32X not do well? I think I remember reading about that sometime ago.
I'm finding the (thankfully) minority misinformation in this post regarding the PS4P a bit disturbing.
I don't know if this is a case of willful ignorance, or a thinly veiled attempt to discredit a product that any way you cut it offers good performance (due to the specs) relative to the $399 MSRP in order to deliberately mislead people who legitimately want to know the benefits.
But hey; it's an open forum. People can say whatever they want within the rules, even patently false information, just as people can call out other people based upon their forum posting history and preferences to see what their personal agenda is.
Still, I think it needs to be said.
