First of all the is nothing optimistic about it.

Why is it when people talk about SE porting games to PC they use something like Lightning Returns. A game that originally launched on the PS3/X360 and at a time when SE wasnt really interested in porting their JRPG's to the PC market..

Why dont we look at more recent games such FFType0HD that took 6 months to get from PS4 to PC (And remember SE was still porting the other FF games before this). Why dont we look at games like Hitman, Life is Strange, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex etc?. All them games where ported at the same time.

Eh, its a HD remaster of a PSP game. I can't imagine that being hard to port over. And that took them 6 months to do.

The other games are done by other (western) developers. I don't see the relevance.

Fact is SE could have FF15 up and running on PC for the console release if they really did want to. But they are going to do a Rockstar and release the Definitive edition 1 year later with all DLC running on DX12/Volkan with higher res Textures and better effects.

Anything to back that one up?

The guy whos making it said already when he is doing a PC version he would like it to be more then a simple port.

We are talking about Consoles here Not PC's. Reason why people buy Sony consoles is they know they will be playing the same game as their friends for 6+ Years. That is no longer the case.Sure it might not be a big deal to many. But also to many many others this is one of the main reasons for buying a console over another device.

1. How long did it take that PSP Game to get to PS4?. And remember X360/PS3/PSP where much more different then the PS4/X1 thats pretty much running standard PC Hardware. Also like i said what about Deus Ex?, Hitman?, Tomb Raider etc?.

2. The fact that the game was already up and running on PC?. The fact that Its now so simple to port a game from PC to Consoles and the other way around?.

Why are you trying to make it look like it would be a hard job to port to PC?.

I'm not. I'm just being realistic.

3. No thats why it will take them a year to add the extra polish plus time for the DLC to release. If it was a stright port they could have it on PC within a Month if they wanted.

Fact is simple. How many times have you seen the "I buy a console since i dont need to upgrade it for its lifetime" etc. This is a bigger draw to consoles then people think. People are also making the mistake of thinking VGC = World. Fact is here is a group of Hardcore gamers and sony fans who are going to be excited about it and might make it seem like more people are excited about upgrades. But in reality no one yet knows what type of backlash or impact midgen consoles could get once released into the public. 

Hell many normal people (Who dont visit gaming sites etc) dont even know the is a new ps4pro coming yet and know more about the slim model. And they are happy buying their kids or themselfs the normal PS4 now, they could be very upset when they go into gamestop come xmas and see the is a new more powerful PS4 for just 100 more!.

You might not think the is a large group of gamers like this and an even larger group of people, but thats just cos you put to much faith in the world imo.

But the fact is many will feel forced to upgrade. No one likes playing or even feeling like they are playing a gimped game.

Too many people want to compare Consoles to phones or other things people upgrade and i believe this is a mistake as both markets are not the same.

No worries trucks - I'm in the same boat too.

The PC version will come out within a few months to a year after the console version's release and it'll be more worthwhile waiting for that.
