We are talking about Consoles here Not PC's. Reason why people buy Sony consoles is they know they will be playing the same game as their friends for 6+ Years. That is no longer the case.Sure it might not be a big deal to many. But also to many many others this is one of the main reasons for buying a console over another device.

It's for gamer enthusiasts that just have to own it and wants to utilize their 4K TV. They can still play with their friends, trade and share the same games for 6+ years.

Sure it might be a big deal to a few that don't own a 4K TV, but also, to many many others it is not.
