Forums - PC Discussion - So I need a new GPU (sister split water while she was cleaning the inside of my PC)

Hello there, so my GPU die after water drop on it, I was planning on buying a new one this year but I guess this will speed my decision. My build is a little old:
-Phenom II 6x 1090T
-12GB of DDR3
-Corsair H100i
-Generic Asus MoBo(lol at that time I didn't know the importance of this)
-gtx 750 ti was my GPU( i have to point out, it was a small version my case doesn't have too much space)

So the games I play variate on performance a lot, mostly due to my CPU(which I will remplace later this year) I mostly play, BF 3 4, CoD zombie mode, Witcher 3, Metal Gear 5, Overwatch, TF1, and a bunch of indie games, but I want a card that hold well in Battlefield 1 and Deus Ex.
Budget $350 take into acount that I live in mexico and the dollar is so damn high right now.
(currently my best options is this one http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-563117240-tarjeta-de-video-zotac-nvidia-gtx1060-6gb-gddr5-hdmi-dp-dvi-_JM

Yea a 1060 is a pretty good card. Probably the best value atm given the price point and the games you are playing. That link doesn't go anywhere though so just make sure you aren't buying the 1060 founders edition.

Fix it.
Why? does the founders edition have any issue?

Founders edition is overpriced, deff the 1060 is great but be sure to pick up the 6GB one and not the 3GB one. Since you won't pick up the founders one you will have a custom cooler, check reviews but generally MSI is a save bet for a good custom cooler. Palit also makes some good cards and they are priced low, so maybe if you can find one of them.

You could also browse some cards and make a new topic to let people advice you, but deff go with the 1060, anything more will seriously bottleneck your CPU anyway

Well look at the bright side. Your sister can make a lot of money by splitting water.

Overpriced for zero benefits. Think of it as Nvidia tax. You can get a non founders edition with a better cooler for either the same price or less.

You say you need a small card? How much space do you have, and do you have room for a double slot card?

If you have room for a double slot, something like RX 480 or GTX 1060 is your best bet. If you only have room for a single slot card, I think RX 460 is the most powerful single slot card on the market now: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GV-RX460WF2OC-2GD-RX460-GDDR5-PCIE3-0/dp/B01K1JV83C/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1471238205&sr=1-13&keywords=rx+460&linkCode=sl1&tag=965404-20&linkId=606ad2b0cc9c9d9abcb24784c9ef8ad9

2gb are enought? I have not buy anything from AMD since my phenom, is the 460 good? looks like a good option is also half the price here in mexico, my space mmm well I had this one https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GV-N75TOC2-2GI-GDDR5-2GB-2xHDMI-Graphics/dp/B015E9VDC0/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1472930984&sr=1-4&keywords=gtx+750ti and have a hard time trying to make it fit on my case.
