Forums - Microsoft Discussion - The New Xbone Controller Feels Soooo Good

Thank you. Third revision, eh? So which controllers where the first and second revisions? I assume the launch Xbox One had a first revision Xbox One controller, but when did we get the second revision?

I suspect @pbroy meant to say "third version", rather than "third revision".

First version, launch controller.

Second version (first revision), controller with 3.5mm headset jack.

Third version (second revision), this one.

There's the Elite controller, but I see that as a different product line rather than a revision.

Third version (second revision), this one. with bluetooth (for wireless gaming on PC and other devices that accept it)

Why did you quote me and add to my quote rather than reply?  I know what the bluetooth is for in that controller.  I also know that it boasts enhanced range and other things that I didn't mention.  *shrug*

Just wanted to add more info, no second intention in that.

Second revision is the special edition controllers (Lunar, Forza and such). This included the new bumpers and added rubber grip on the bottom. I would have bought the Lunar if this new controller and Xbone S never came out.

Third revision, this controller, basically just added Bluetooth and longer range. Changed the rubber grip bottom to a textured plastic bottom.

I picked up a lightly used Elite controller on Ebay for $90. It is excellent. I wouldn't pay $150 for it, but I like it for $100 or less. I'm a little jelly about this custom color beast though. I told myself that the $80 price tag is too high for a controller, and figured I'd just buy another standard one. Then I went on Ebay and spent $90.....

I bought mine and never thought about the price. It's been a while since I used the regular XO controllers and I don't miss them.
