Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy XV preview (liked it)

All the XV previews have been especially positive. The main issues seem to be performance and the battle system (for some..for others that is the highlight)

I thought that already was the cure for indie hype.

No that is vizioneck.

Indeed. Who's hyped for vizioneck?

I can't trust someone who hates FF. If you hate FF but love this and i love FF doesn't that mean i probably wont like this lol

You guys know full well, SquEnix isn't trying to get FF fans money, as they think they already have it. They are trying to get everyone elses. Screw fans of the traditional FF games right?

Hmm, pie.

FF has always been a RPG series that have done its best to try to push the genre forward, or in directions different from the rest while taking some risks in doing so. Many are stuck in the past and hope they'll play FF VI or VII again... Let those play those games again, as they are already released, and let the others not living in the past appreciate what's new.

I don't feel screwed by the direction they're going for with XV, and I started playing the series in 1991 and have been a fan ever since.

What attracted many to the games to begin with was the gameplay, lose that gameplay style and it's not the same game anymore and in turn people won't want to play it. Sure you'll get new fans but you are just leaving those who wanted the game for it's gameplay with $60 in their pocket not spent. RPG is a broad category too, I mean Mass Effect is an RPG, I wouldn't put it along side FF in terms of gameplay though.

Hmm, pie.

they'll like it on the preview, and then hate on it in the review.

Everyone!

Good to see the majority of impression are positive. This video indeed gives me a much more positive impression than the last 2 demos. To those who are still begrudged by the combat system, the ship has sailed since 2 years ago. Let it go.
