Forums - General Discussion - Is there a better tv series than The Sopranos???

The "House of Cards" (BBC) trilogy, it's a masterpiece.

Around the Network

I honestly think this and the Wire are very overrated, there is just something about them that kinda bored me. I would say it might be because of lack fantastical elements, but i love Breaking Bad

Hhhmmm...I do think The Sopranos is one of the 3 best written shows of all time.

The other two being Mash, and The West Wing.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

well that's the point, i wanna watch a good tv series so if someone thinks "this is better than the sopranos" then it should be good.

There are lots of series as good or better or just a little worse.

If you like organised crime:

1) Power

2) Peaky Blinders

3) Broadwalk Empire

If you like stuff like Death Note (intelligent chess like battles):

1) Billions

2) Suits

3) Blacklist

If you like Horror:

1) Penny Dreadful

2) Scream

3) American Horror Story

4) Ash vs The Evil Dead

If you like anime but live action:

1) Into the Badlands

If you like comedy:

1) The Ranch

2) The 70's Show

3) Archer

4) Brooklyn Nine Nine

If you like crime busting:

1) Elementary

2) The Mentalist

3) The Blacklist

If you like Legal stuff:

1) Boston Legal

2) Suits

3) Franklin & Bash

If you like Sci-fi:

1) Battle Star Galactica

2) Firefly

3) Red Dwarf

If you like Fanstasy:

1) Game of Thrones

2) Once Upon a Time

3) Grimm

As a person who loves anime and video games, i cannot recommend Ash vs The Evil Dead and Into the Badlands enough. Possibly the two most missed series out there.

That 70's Show wasn't that good plus it had a laugh track any comedy that has a laugh track isn't really that good.  There where two non laugh track comedies on Fox that are vastly superior to That 70's Show,  Raising Hope and Malcom in the Middle.

Also, anyone who isn't watching Rick & Morty is missing out on the best animated show in a long time.

The Sopranos rule and is definitely one of the best series of all time.... but

The Wire is the shit!!!!!!!

I said The Wire was earlier but what I meant to say was Wire, Sopranos, Arrested Development, Lost, The Office, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are top tier to me. They're equally great. Another TV show remade off a 1960s soap opera that I absolutely love is Dark Shadows. 1990s version

I see you have received a lot of great recommendations. If you're looking for something new and different The Preacher is off to a jaw dropping first season. I also think Stranger Things is worth your time.

Nope.

Very much this, while the first episode of it is very grating at first once you get past the surface of how awful Rick can seem this series is amazing. A great replacement for Futurama.
