Forums - Sony Discussion - How PlayStation VR Unsold Me: ZyroXZ2 Entertainment Gaming

Jason says, "About a month ago, I tried a PlayStation VR demo for myself. Having dabbled in VR here and there (including that almost-meme thing known as the “Virtual Boy”), here are my impressions and how I became rather unsold."

Huh? why is he talking about polarization? Thats a 3D eye trick... which VR doesnt use right?

Also hes wrong about that "motion controller" thing... he says he wants it, but knows it ll be a gimmick that ll have people punching things in their home. Which is a negative for the PSVR he says.

Riiiiight.... or you could just keep the normal controller everyone uses.

Who wants to VR game and actually have to run around inside their house? swinging their arms like madmen? no one really.. hopefully..

Also the reason why he prefers occulus rift...

Hes a Forza fan, and bought a 400$ wheel that only works with the xbox one.... that and porn for the Oculus...

Yes thats why it un-sold him as a "entertainment gameing device".

Correct. VR is Stereoscopic, which is how we naturally see 3D images. Polarization is the type of 3D you get at like an IMAX movie.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

So hes basically wrong about what hes saying ontop off all his bad reasons?

Meh.

There's just so much irony in listening to incorrect info about PSVR from a guy with a Halo poster above his head. Awe well, keep searching N4G and get them negative Sony threads out there.

Yeah, I mean...I just think its important to taken his opinion as a novice opinion based on fairly limited experience. Which is fine, it just is what it is.

In fact, I'm a subscriber of his and I believe he's a user on this site. So just give it as much weight as you would Inge were posting on here. Just because it's a YouTube video doesn't suddenly give it authority.

Haven't you realized he also has a poster of Horizon and Mario Kart 8? Guess we only see what we want to see.

it's a conspiracy.

So a PS4 camera (which you can buy in good condition for 30 bucks on eBay) is the deal-breaker?

So, I just got a chance to actually watch the video (I'm at work) and it's weird that he spends so much time talking about polarization and even going as far explaining how it works when VR doesn't use polarized lenses.

Beyond that I don't if unsold is the term I would have used, considering he didn't really seems sold to begin with, but his opinion is still valid.
