Forums - Gaming Discussion - Has anybody's gaming habits changed with their age?

Mine have in recent years. I find myself playing ps2, GameCube, ps1, Dreamcast more than ps4. But lately I haven't been playing anything. But 10 years ago, I played nearly anything and everything.

The older I get the less I play.

Yes, totally. Back when I was a kid in the 80's, I never thought "mature" vs "kiddy". When the Genesis/PS1 movement happened, and it became "cool" to play games with violence, sex and blood, I went right along with it thinking that somehow, I was "cool" as well for playing them. I felt in some stupid way that since I was a teenager/20 something and male, that I had to play online shooters and dark games that dealt with violence and "adult" content.

Once I hit my 30's, all of that faded away and I realized just how stupid it is. Most of the games I play now get me mocked by the same group I use to belong to (the uber cool, uber core gamer who thinks a game is only good if it's "mature")... and I don't give a rats ass!

Yeah at this stage of last gen I was playing cod4 and MW2 non stop missing out on so many great games. Nowadays I play a huge variety. Still play online games like rainbow 6, battlefield 4 and rocket league a lot but they only take up 50% of my gaming time instead of 100%.

All I currently play are the ps4 and ps3 and they are spoiling me.
