In the perfect world, it'd just be an easy to remove sticker.

damn that sucks really hard. Im glad to be in the US where the design for GH is much simpler. just a red banner

Greatest Hits is better and Essentials is also a bit better but I still don't like how the red banners often work against the original box art.

I agree on the appearance of the Platinum and Essentials cover art, probably the uggliest thing I've ever seen. This is not an issue exclusive to Sony though. These things are always ugly and I can't bring myself to buy a game sporting such a raping of box-art, however cheap it may be.

Anyway, I'll drop another belated bomb in this thread. I have never liked their controllers. Ever since what, 1995/1996 or whenever I first got a PlayStation, the controllers are borderline unplayable. I'll never understand how people find the "the best" or even "good". I've been struggling with every aspect of the things for generations now. It's a wonder I actually beat games from time to time.

Anyway, Sony's lucky their games are good, because I'm not getting PlayStations for the controller!

Wow....where to start...

1. DRM Rootkits
2. PS3 Arrogance
3. Pushing propietary formats
4. PSP Questionable advertising
5. Maybe it's just me, but I've had horrible luck with Sony proudcts. Back in the day, I had an expensive Hi8 camcorder stop working mere days after the warranty expired. I've had a battery charger and a PS2 stop working a couple of years after purchase. I still have a clock radio that has worked for 10 years, and have bought a 4K TV from them, so I'm hoping my luck gets better.

My biggest gripe with Sony is they provide a gaming platform with too many damn games when there's not enough time to play them.

Between ps4/ps3 sales I'm buying more games than I can finish.

They need toy invent an 8to day in the week and a 25th hour in the day.

It's amazing to me this thread is still breathing. I guess it's good I haven't bought many Sony things throughout my life if their bad enough to warrant 3 weeks of complaints :p.

My gripe with Sony isn't about quality (except for online....that one needs a bit more work)

With PlayStation its definitely customer service. They don't seem to want to help you with any problem. I have a current problem now with someone actually deactivating my personal PS4 as the primary. So I don't have access to any of my games if the internet isn't on. Even the ones I've purchased from the store. Tried to deactivate thru the website, but no avail. PS customer service told me I have to wait 6 months. Sucks... I have to look at a timeline that won't update at all. It's stuck on 6/30/16. The only thing that updates on the timeline is what's new in the PlayStation Store.

Another thing with PlayStation is their unwillingness to listen to their fans about features they would like to see on the PlayStation. I won't say all things, but there's quite a few things.

Of course, like others have stated, the VITA!!! I will never trust Sony again with another handheld. The way they abandoned the Vita is cringeworthy. It's a damn shame that 3rd party developers love the Vita more than it's own creators do. It's thee only reason why the Vita still has life. (Get it? Vita=Life) Such a phenomenal handheld. I personally love my Vita.

Oh and I don't like the fact that PS put a cap on trophies again concerning how many a single game can have. Should have torn a page from Xbox and just let it be unlimited. No caps.

I see, you found a conclusion that makes you happy. Good for you. I have continuously bumped this thread and this is despite the fact that I'm enjoying the experiences on PS consoles immensely

I just like that their fanbase is capable of seeing their errors and refuse to buy/support products they aren't satisfied with. That's what made PlayStation to what it is today. One of the biggest and most profitable brands in gaming.

 

 

Just look at their recent financials.

I was just kidding around :).  I own two ps4's but before that I had not bought many Sony products. It wasn't out of anger at the company.

top 3.

1 - I have problems whit theirs TV. I don't know if it's only me, but sony tvs, that used to be the best TVs, are a letdown...

2 - they abbadoned the vita.

3 - Despite having the best First Party Studios, they don't have a "monster" Ip., like pokemon.

Nintendo and Xbox manage it quite well.

Simple background, with nothing covering the original art.

 

Sony's attempt drives me nuts.
