All they need to do is put Sun and Moon into the first gen virtual console 2DS bundles and cross promote with pokemon go. You get the nostalgia and the new game at once, with a cheap console to boot. A black friday deal with all of it for 99$ would be really sweet.

Of course it will. Pokemon went through the roof with Go and sales in the future will reflect that. A 2DS with Pokemon for a hundred bucks, that will be the shit this christmas for kids.

Most definitely. People in my office are playing this game. My nephew and his friends are running around Cleveland looking for "gyms." Pokemon Go is very much a gateway drug.

The real effect of GO is getting people to broach the subject of Pokemon without fear of ridicule, then realising just how many people are also actually Pokemon fans, too scared to embrace it.

Im not sure about if people will buy a 3ds/2ds because of GO, but people who already have one will definetly be influenced and get sun/moon. Right now pokemon is like 15-20%( I think) atach rate on the 3ds, I can see that going up a lot for sun and moon, even for te current pokemon games already available.

I think that would only take 2-3 people you encouter that will get it and will probabbbly make you want to get it. And since people are asembleling like ccrazzy at poke stops, tey will talk and probably plan on getting it if they want to actually play it. 

Basicly just having a good group you can battle in person. Online battles I dont think did any good to pokemon.

I think the entry price point for the 3DS is low enough to bring in extra new/lapsed fans of Pokemon that are now into the series because of GO.

It'll start getting colder by November when Sun/Moon launches - people will want to continue their Pokemon adventure!

I certainly say it can't hurt, but yes, I think it will. It will likely reinvigorate interest in the Pokemon games and IP across the board. I'm not going to say how much, but I'm willing to bet between 10 to 20% increase at least.
