wasn't quite going to recommend like that. Here's some I'd recommend for you.

- Uncharted 4 and the collection (if you haven't played these, you should!)
- Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (It's very good but best enjoyed if you know the overall lore)
- MGSV: The Phantom Pain (This game is simply amazing. It's really something special)
- Bloodborne (This is for the ones who want a challenging experience)
- InFamous: Second Son (The gameplay is very good and it's a lot of fun)
- GTAV (The online community is still striving strong. It's a lot of fun to play with your friends and your sure to get house of game time while playing)
- Watch Dogs (This isn't a popular pick , but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hacking and the concept of listening into peoples speech and then choosing if you want to kill to subdue the person or not is a really cool concept)
Batman: Arkham Knight (Is a very engaging game that has a damn good story)

Yeah, I think you'll love Rocket League. It's on XOne also if you have that system.

I'm in the same camp as you; I love Uncharted 2 but 3 burned me pretty badly. When Uncharted 4 hits its highs it's as good as any game in the series. But when it hits its lows it's as frustrating at 3. Unfortunately Uncharted 4 has some pretty bad pacing problems. The Witcher 3 is the best PS4 game easily

Agree on shadow of mordor!  I actually think it's one of the best games this gen on any system. I had a lot of fun with it. 

Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and Rarchet and Clank are the best PS4 exclusives and great games. Driveclub, Until Dawn and Infamous are good games as well.

Yeah, it's really great. The world is relatively small but there's so much to do. And that Nemesis system is one of the few "next-gen" upgrades that actually has a meaningful effect on gameplay - not just bells and whistles.

I really liked alien isolation although it could have been shorter.
I liked outlast (it was free). It kept me hooked.
I also liked contrast (also free and probably not a popular opinion)
I loved replaying grim fandango
Shadow of mordor was excellent
I enjoyed infamous ss (i agree with veknoid the city npcs are kind of lifeless but so is every open world game i play) the super powers were fun.
Uncharted 4 started slow but did get exciting
I enjoyed the order 1886 even though no one else did but you can probably get it for $5
I liked far cry 4 as well
Loved apotheon (free also i think)

I tried to list some i liked that were not huge releases as well.

Fallout is a big maybe.  DmC at 60FPS sounds great.  Metro Redux! Yes.  And it's dirt cheap too.

Shadow of Mordor I'll have to youtube.  I remember it having a shady pre-launch, with paid previews done by popular youtubers and the like only for the game to turn out to be fantastic anyway without the preview silliness.
