Retro City Rampage and Guacamelee! are two extraordinary "indie" games. Uncharted 4 is a little uneven but it hits its stride in the final third. Mortal Kombat X is probably the best of the series. There are still a ton of games I need to play, so that's just scratching the surface. There are a few games I'd warn you away from. Killzone Shadow Fall is gorgeous but boring and narratively incoherent. Infamous Second Son is gorgeous but lifeless and monotonous. Transistor is gorgeous but focused on style over substance. |
Agree on shadow of mordor! I actually think it's one of the best games this gen on any system. I had a lot of fun with it.
