Do you have a favorite arcade port to console or PC?

Just recent I broke out the old Genesis to play Captain America and the Avengers.  It was a port of the arcade version that came out in the early 90's.  The arcade version was a 4 player side scroller beat-em up.  I remember playing it in the college arcade.  It took two quarters to start the game and a single quarter to continue.  I could beat that game with a dollar.  Then, the arcade ports came out for the SNES and the Genesis.  The Genesis version was the better of the two so that's what I opted for.  Compared to the arcade version, it was a 2 player co-op, the graphics and sound weren't quite as nice and it was noticably harder than the original arcade version.  Never beaten it, but it's still a lot of fun especially since I just broke of the old Genesis a couple of weekends ago.  Captain America and the Avengers is certain one of my few favorite arcade ports.

All the arcade ports on the Dreamcast were phenomenal. Especially those from Capcom.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III are two flawless examples.

SoulCalibur for Dreamcast has to be up there. Not only was it a faithful translation but it improved upon the arcade version in a number of ways.

My personal favorite is probably TMNT IV on SNES.

In the Hunt for the Playstation one, I mean it is one of my most treasured PS one titles to still own, sometimes Sony's first home console did great jobs of arcade titles like Ridge Racer and Tekken, other times it made a bit of a mess of them such as with X men Vs Street Fighter. But In the Hunt was pretty much arcade perfect, not only did it have all the stages and boss's from the Arcade but it even had extra power ups in the form of shields on the PSone game.

Really great game from the devs who would go on later to bring us R-Type Delta on the Playstation, possibly one of the best R-Type games.

That game looks awesome! I've never even heard of it before.

The entire Neo Geo Aes library, Pulstar is one of the best games ever made, easily in my top 10.

Yes! Pulstar is so damn good. I wish someone would secure and release a port on modern machines.

TMNT on the old arcade machines. Probably put at least 10 quarters for every time I played the game 😂😂

The game on the NES is different, but is true to the formula of the series(unlike the abomination made by Activision)

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Here's me blasting through the first stage! It really is a great game from Irem, if you like R-Type you'll likely love "In the Hunt" on either MAME or the PSone version, they're both very similar.

I used to finish this in the arcades in 2 credits, last boss is just so difficult to do without dying at least once. Played this so much lol.
