Sure.

So in FY2011 when they restructured they released historical data for the Game division for the past 3 years which helped fill in the gap when they previously reported gaming alongside PC & other divisions.

In this document. Page F-96 & F-97 you can find a break down for FY2009, 2010 & 2011.

http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/library/FY2012_6K_PDF.pdf

In FY2012 they introduced new Network services to PSN and started to count it in a Network division, now known as Games & Network Services. They did the same thing where they released a revised document which included the addition of Network sales for the previous years.

Ultimately we now have a full break down from Sony on their Game and Network Services performance from FY1995 to FY2015.

However, what is missing is the inital investment and first year sales of FY1994 when the PlayStation first launched in Japan (4 months of data). At that time the PlayStation division was just thrown in with the electronics division and so Sony never actually released the individual Game segment performance until two years later.

If you want I can PM you all the raw data which i now 100% up to date and adjusted based on the latest figures from Sony themselves (as they restructured numerous times since 1995)

cool thanks, some interesting data their, still a little cloudy due to intersegment transactions but certainly a lot more than was previously revealed.

Sony have always split out External sales and Intersegment sales since FY1995 through to FY2015 which means there is a complete set of data there.

Besides, Sony always report the combined number in the actual totals.

yep understand that, my comment was more based on intersegment sales being highly undefined still (at least I could not see a breakdown of it). intersegment is generally a great way for companies to transfer costs between divisions/subs/countries, would love to see a better breakdown of those.

There isn't much detail other than the standard blurb from Sony.

*Game intersegment amounts primarily consist of transactions with All Other. Devices intersegment amounts primarily consist of transactions with the Game segment and the IP&S segment. All Other intersegment amounts primarily consist of transactions with the Pictures segment, the Music segment and the Game segment. Corporate and elimination includes certain brand and patent royalty income.*

Indeed.

Here is a break down of Network Services (PSN) revenue. It really shows how PS Plus, Season Passes, Full game downloads, DLC & the general shift to digital have caused network sales to grow rapidly.

Yeah it is amazing really. Is it their shift to paid online that helped?

It's easily the main reason.

Do you have sales info on MS? I know there was this profits / losses table floating around online that had the big 3's console performance down for each year, but then someone wrecked it. It would be nice to have a side by side comparison of the 3.

Nice work op. Nice work ZhugeEX. Thanks for the hard work and interesting data.

Since I just found out that ZhugeEX actually is a memeber of these forums, I think I'll let him answer that for you :p I haven't seen any numbers from MS yet

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
