Well, if you wanted to beat the game. I've yet to see someone 1-2 hours in the game actually beat lavos without new game plus. BoTW has been confirmed to be completable even with your lowly stats.

Not exactly. You can go to Ganon with low stats, but that doesn't mean you can beat him.

ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD CAN BE BEATEN WITHOUT COMPLETING THE STORY, am I missing something?

That's what I mean. Going with low stats doesn't mean you can beat easily, unless you are a very very pro gamer, as the Aonuma quote implies. Basically, you have to explore to gather better equipment to be able to face him.

A .0005% chance is still a chance is all I'm saying. If Aonuma said it is possible then it is. That's all I was getting at.

Ay, yeah, that's a possibility. Wonder if someone will succeed.

I haven't done it, but it's possible. Here's one player who does it:

Btw, do you have a link to the bolded statement? Because I think they have to be clear on what that means, because you can beat all Zelda games with just 3 hearts (low stats.)

You guys are taking my words wrong. From what Aonuma has said, you can beat the game, in some capacity from the get go. No story elements necessary. The speedrun you linked is faulty as it's tool assisted (TAS) and a lot of content (leveling up) has been cut out. As one commenter notes:

"At 1:05:08 you're lvl. 14 and at 1:20:34 you're lvl. 41. Did you just do that area over and over again to hit lvl. 41? and in 3 hours and 24 minutes?"

That's impossible to gain 20 odd levels in 15 minutes. What I mean is, Link has weapon stats now and armor stats. I'm not talking only about hearts. Also, different runes aren't completely necessary. The thing to take away from this is, just as the title says: You can beat it from the get go, but it's insane to try and do so and borderlining impossible.

Status in this case is a culmination of Attack, Defense, Runes and Health from what I can see of the demo. Also, yes you can beat any Zelda with 3 hearts but not from the beginning. You can't start Ocarina of Time without cheats and go straight to Ganondorf's castle and beat the game. This is what Aonuma is saying, you can do just that in BoTW.

How do I interpret this information? Can you complete the game immediately after waking up or not? Then what's the point of the dungeons, characters and exploring? I don't want to look on the internet how to not finish this game within a few hours. Sounds like a questionable decision to me.

I don't think it erases any meaning. If you were Link, would you fight Ganon with wooden swords, shields, weak arrows, etc.? For me I like to play games like this as if I'm the protagonist, so I do what I would want to do in that situation, and I would want to get better gear, more hearts, etc.  It's good for people who don't want to do that.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

Well from the quotes in the OP, I'm not entierly sure that's what he meant. It depends on how "To goal" was translated, as I can see it being confused with "towards goal" easily. That could mean that you have to go through 3 mandatory dungeons, but can skip 10 optional dungeons, for example.
But hearing that Link has other stats now makes it sound more likely that you can do that.

Oh yeah, I see now that the video skips 363 battles of EXP farming. Though the main reason I showed that was because you can beat Lavos at an early stage in the game, without understanding much about the story. Like how Aonuma said that you can beat BotW without understanding Link's full story.

Aonuma was asked specifically by the interviewer.

http://www.polygon.com/e3/2016/6/15/11942652/legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-ending

When asked, Aonuma confirmed that a player could go directly to the final boss of the game from its opening moments if they wanted. However, he also stressed that he didn't view this as an ideal way to play.

So it's allowed in the game but not the most ideal way to play as the player is unlikely to deal with what they come across.

I'd be surprised if it takes more than three days after release until a video of go-straight-to-Ganon is up.

Going to be hard to not fall and see it.
