Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Are we one year removed from a small horde of new Nintendo titles?

How many unannounced titles are coming in the next year with the Nx launch?

A lot 13 13.98%

A good number of games 27 29.03%

a few new games, a few ports 26 27.96%

port-heavy launch with a couple new titles 11 11.83%

few unexpected titles at all 7 7.53%

The Nx is really just a ... 9 9.68%

Total:93

Well, there will be ports, at the very least three or four (Zelda U, Mario Maker, Smash U and Xenoblade X). Aside from that, I really want Nintendo to prove they can have a year without software droughts, at the very least a big title per month between 1st and 3rd party. They need to show they can avoid the WiiU droughts at all costs, or else this would be a catastrophe. Merging the handheld and home console lineups should do the trick. I don't think the NX will be delayed, they can't live with just 3DS-amiibo sales forever.

At the very least, I hope Nintendo don't find themselves in another "not prepared for HD developement" situation.

A XBX port? There's at least 5 Wii U games that would sell more.

The point is not selling more or less. If those games could sell better on the NX, they would have sold better on the WiiU. Xenoblade X is a game clearly constricted by the WiiU's capabilities, so making it avalible on a stronger device will be able to show the power of the NX. Plus, I'm sure the game cost a lot of money to make and Nintendo isn't satisfied with the WiiU sales alone.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

There's a little novelty called backwards compatibility, go learn about it.

Didn't we already go through this with expectations for the Wii U? That since the Wii was abandoned, the Wii U would have an absolute smorgasbord of titles in the early years?

Yes, Wii 2011-2012. And the launch in 2012 was the beggining of the festival of delays and droughts for a new gen.

hahahahahaha. don't count on that.

Why not? We already know Zelda U is coming to the NX, and the leaks point out to Smash U coming as well. Mario Maker is a game that just needs updates, not sequels, and if they manage to make the WiiU levels work on the NX it will be a beast, just like any 2D Mario. Xenoblade is a big game and I'm sure Nintendo expected better sales from it, so they'll put it on the NX (maybe with some graphic improvements).

Zelda is an unreleased game. the leaks point to nothing because they are nothing, there's no source for any of it. also, backwards compatibility covers everything.

Has Nintendo ever flooded us with games? Announcing a game isn't the same thing as releasing one...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Don't make eye contact.

There's no guarantee that this thing will even have an optical drive... why are you so certain it will have built in backwards compatibility? We know virtually nothing about the hardware.

Wii U succesor won't have backwards compatibility.

Depends how much titles Nintendo can make by delaying the NX for 4 months.
