I heard it picks up in the second half, I'm only at chapter 10 myself and loving every moment of it. Even the climbing is great when the view is so spectacular!

I'm also replaying the three first ones (got the TLoU + Nathan Drake Collection bundle), UC4 really is another level in nearly every aspect. I think quite a few are disappoined due to the slower pace and fewer action sequences in UC4, but I found it refreshing as the frenetic pace of UC3 made it ineffective after a while, the wow factor diminshes when you overuse the same tools and set-up's through the game. That cruise ship escape was something else though...

I'm definitely a fan of good pacing and you're right.  If it's always "dialed up to 10" we become numb to it.  I always like it when a game knows how to ramp things up, give you a "Holy shit, that was cool" moment, and then dial things down.  The quiet moments are what make the big moments stand out.  That's what made Gears of War Judgment suck while Gears 1-3 were awesome.  The pacing.

Yeah, UC2 had better pacing than UC3 by far, in my opinion. There weren't a whole lot of "holy shit" scenes, but the ones who were there truly had an impact. UC3 went too far on the action sequences, but it's still a great game.

Overall, I'm really loving UC4, especially any parts with Sully, he's a fantastic character. The whole cast is awesome, and the acting is superb. Awesome, awesome game, I do not regret finally "jmuping in" for this title.

what i find funny for example is that the order 1886 was criticized for a final bossfight that basically works the same way as the praised final boss in uncharted 4. i'd say if the graphics in uncharted 4 wouldn't have been so great and the characters so familiar, people would have found a lot more stuff to complain about. all in all i enjoyed the 6 hours i spent in the order 1886 more then the 16 hours it took me to beat uncharted 4.

One thing that annoyed me is that the enemies don't run or react when you throw a grenade.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

One thing that I noticed is that in normal mode, you feel like the gunplay segments dont last long since you can kill everyone basically pretty quickly without barely any cover. On harder mode however, yo feel they last too long. You have too used every element of the game to move forward, not to mention you have to constantly move, otherwise, lots of grenades are toss to you. Enemies are constantly moving as well so you run the risk of being shot on the back.

The Order was so underwhelming to me I forgot it had a final boss lol.

can you pinpoint the reasons why the order was so underwhelming to you? for me it was basically the pirate theme in uncharted 4. looking for some pirate treasure imo was so insignificant compared to what nate was after in previous games. therefore all the locations in uncharted 4, although very pretty indeed, were practically meaningless to me. also climbing up an down stuff was way too much for my taste.

Is this the first Uncharted where things don't go all supernatural at the end?

Yes, some have complained about it, I think it's refreshing. I'm about halfway through UC3 now and finished both 1 and 2 this week as well. When I'm done with UC3, I'll get back to UC4 (currently on chapter 10 or so).

Stealth AI is terrible, but at least you can do it now. In previous games once you were spotted, you were spotted. I love that you can get back in hiding, but the enemies can be pretty stupid at times.

It's also much appreciated that you can tag enemies now though. They move around so much and the areas are much larger.

May be a minor complaint, but speaking of treasures being more of a chore, in UC3 you could SEE the treasures. Now, in UC4, they're back to being a little tiny sparkle on the ground. I actually had more trouble finding treasures in 4 than any of the previous games.
