Forums - Sony Discussion - Video Comparing GT:Sport directly to GT6

This makes the Eurogamer article seem like crap. He said that the game looks like GT6. Now I don't have the best vision in the world but this doesn't look the same to me. I'm starting to lose complete faith in journalism. Why does everything have to be sensationalized. Where the hell is objective commentary.

GTsports looks more realistic (the cars, road, sky, buildings, the lighting).
But I like the mountains in the far distance better in the older version.

GTsports runs "smoother" than the GT6 video, where frame rates are all over the place (micro sutters).

I think GTSports overall does look alot better.

Once its released and polished up abit,... maybe gotten a few patches, it ll be a alot better than GT6.

The track still look dull but the cars, lighting, sky and the added balloons look nice. It also seems that the AI could be improved and the game is a little bit harder/more realistic than GT 6. Car still sounds like a motorised vacuum cleaner though.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

The guy from Videogamer.com @VG_Dave also said he was not very impressed. I guess people have seen DriveClub and expect so much that nothing is gonna impress them.

Speaking of losing faith in journalism... I just finished BO3 campaign lastnight, this is a game that got 92 from IGN.... I felt like cutting my eyeballs out near the end it was so bad. What a terrible campaign.

I really hope the media can treat this game with some technical understanding of sacrifices that have to be made for 60fps etc.

Of course they can.  Forza 6 was praised for it visuals even though it didn't match Driveclub.   The most important technical merit was deemed to be responsiveness and 60FPS provided that.  For Forza it was functionality over beauty.  That was the technical understanding.

And about COD's campaign... I don't know what to tell you.  Whatever hold Activision's yearly franchise has over them is really appealing. I really believe that advertising budgets can impact gaming review scores, and no one spends more money on an annual basis then they do.

Did GT6 really look that bad? I can't seem to remember, but that looks off somehow. GTS looks pretty good, but not as good as I would have hoped and liked on PS4 and with Polyphony behind the production, they have a lot to live up to now and there are some really good-looking racers out there to set the bar high.
As long as they fix the sound though, I'm all for it, but I'll probably wait for GT7 anyway.
