Everyone else calls you on that with the fact that on Metacritics ranking list the 93 for UC4 is considered higher than the 93 for SM3DW.  You can tell this by the rankings they have on the previously linked page.

Yet, you defend by saying people have to incorporate fractions.  Which the site itself incorporates based on the rankings they give.  Otherwise, they would just list all the 93s alphabetically and mention that it is listed as such.

When you aggregate numbers you have to take fractions into consideration.  When you display things you want them to look clean.  Fractions and decimals aren't clean.  Therefore, for aesthetics, they leave them out.  Still with me?

Therefore your statement that SM3DW is "still on top" is actually wrong, and now you are defending by trying to move your goalposts.  See?

To truncate:

to shorten (a number) by dropping a digit or digits:

The numbers 1.4142 and 1.4987 can both be truncated to 1.4.
Similarly, the numbers 93.xxxx and 93.yyyy can both be truncated to 93. Mathemagics!

How about looking at it this way: 83 Critics gave Mario 93. 91 Critics gave Uncharted 93. Therefore 93/83 vs. 93/91. Mario has higher average which means the reviews scored higher on average (talking about fractions).

OR Uncharted has more reviews so it should be on top. Either way I don't care lol.

Uhh... 83 critics didn't give SM3DW a 93. The 93 is the weighted average of 83 scores. Same thing for UC4.

 

Going by your method, Sonic Boom (3DS) has 47/21~=~2.24, which is higher than SM3DW's 93/83 ~=~ 1.12 ...and something is obviously not right about that lol.
