I think you're right. I actually liked the first one until the disappointing climax. I wanted a Cap vs Skull throwdown! It also made WWII look like fun. Aside from that, it was my favorite of "Phase 1"--mostly because Cap is probably my favorite Marvel hero.

I like Batman better but Nolan should have quit with TDK. TDKR was a mess of a film with a lot thrown in where it didn't belong. It began as The Dark Knight Returns, turned into Knighfall, and ended as No Man's Land.
