I say that and I believe everything I say. Because to compete you need a competitive product.

Sony are targeting people, so who are Nintendo targeting then...?

Nintendo fans.

In the first years it didnt had that good support. Sony just invested Money in marketing, made the system cheaper, hired more developer, made good exclusives and so on to help the system selling and stop third partys to jump off board.

PS3 never lacked third parties. Some games were delayed because the system was difficult to port and optimize. But the thirds were there the whole time.

Many 3rd parties threatened to abandon the PS3 unless it cut price and got sales up and lots of games become 360 only for up to a year as they waited for the PS3 to increase in sales.

Do you really think power is the only thing keeping third parties away?

Where did I ever said that?

Of course a weak hardware might be prohibitive, but I never said it's the only reason.

But with similar hardware we have bigger chances of multiple versions of third party games.

You said that its unlikely that it will lack support due to Nintendo catching up to the 8th gen in terms of power...

I've owned the NES, SNes, N64, NGC and Wii U as home consoles. The NX will most likely be a buy for Zelda is its any good, but....

If it is some gimmicky thing, or something that doesn't significantly increase over my PS4 and PC experience right now I will just not buy it... I meen I love nintendo games but ever since the Wii I feel like they kind of left me in the dark with their choices.

I am not a "graphics" whore at all by the way. I just want a STANDARD controller that works with all games well and some innovative hardware, if it has that, im all aboard.

If it doesn't have a standard controller, oh my god do I hope it flops, I've had enough of these gimmicks.

No way to tell for sure yet but it should at the very least, do better than Wii U because..

1) Let's face it, it's not hard to do (for a non-new player)

2) Nintendo appears to have shifted focus to NX a while ago. Many projects that were supposed to be for Wii U probably ended up on NX. The launch year line-up should be good (should be)

3) Anything would be better than the Gamepad from a business standpoint. A new gimmick, or no gimmick, both would be better than what happened with the Wii U. An expensive gimmick that wasn't actually new..

Just my thoughts O:

The best you can hope for is a WiiU situation, but that the regular controller will work with all games.

If that is the "best" situation, I am sad to leave my Nintendo fanboyism behind and look a bit sad when a good game comes out because the WiiU didn't really do it for me controller wise, the most fun I had was with the old NGC controller in smash bro's. And I did "kindof" like the pro controller but the standard run out of battery wiiu pad never really did it for me :(

I say it's unlikely indeed, if Nintendo doesn't screw up.

With a well priced and balanced system, yes, it's unlikely they will lack support as they do now.

I also considered the PS4 power, brand power in this case, might be a problem to it, as happened with the PS2.

My post literally let no room to ponder I believed power being the only possible problem to support.

My post wasn't just that separated piece of line, you know, it was inside only a fraction of one if the two sentences my post had.

If third parties did well on the WiiU in the beginning, it would have great third party support... Its that easy.

"Very likely" is not a phrase you can use in this industry, my friend. The PS3 was very likely to do just as well as the PS2 - then it was revealed. Wait until we have something to go off of before you start predicting. It'll save you from looking as foolish when you have deeper reasons than "it doesn't look good on paper!"

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
