But as a male member of the human species of Asian decent with roots from South America, WHO THE HELL IS GONNA REPRESENT ME ON A PIECE OF AMERICAN LEGAL TENDER? |
Probably had to do with him being a war hero as well as some of the good things he did as president like completely get the country out of debt. Not saying he was an excellent president, but he was a fair bit better than the majority. But removing him cause he owned slaves is a pathetic excuse. George Wachington owned over a hundred. I'm not all that miffed, I just find it silly and a waste of government time and resources.

i have a change jar and it has coins from all the countries i've visited. when i'm looking for a quarter i always have to double-take to figure out if it is a weird american quarter or if it is a peruvian sol or whatever...
..annoying.
and don't suggest i seperate my coin jar. this is the governments fault not mine.
I don't even pay attention to who's picture is on my money so I'm fine with this

I love the idea of adding Harriet Tubman to the currency, but if you have to replace someone, why replace my favorite President when you have the option of Grant?

Or mob rule depending on the scenario.
That is cool in all and I honestly don't care that much. But in terms of nation building Jackson was very prominent. And in terms of slave owning he was considered "nicer" and more "humane" then most others. And lastly Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and many others had slaves.
I like this change. Hopefully we can get Bush or whoever wins the election this year on the $0 bill someday.
bet: lost
