This response makes no sense in the context of the debate, highlighting examples is not basing things off a few games especially when I own many of these games on Steam, I'm speaking from what I've personally seen.

So, you base your arguments on your experiences, of which you've only named FallOut 4 and Far Cry Primal, and it's ok. I post examples of games exceeding those 32GB and also a graph that shows where the industry as a whole is going and how the size of the games is growing past 30GB, but it's not ok.

That's good to know.

Of the games you posted only 4 exceeded 32GB on the chart of 28 or so games and two more that you listed making it a total of 6 games, from 6 games you're saying the whole industry is changing and the majority are going to need more than 32GB by default in the next few years, that's an exaggeration. Even games like MGSV (29GB), DMC4 SE (25GB), Farcry 4 (20GB), Metro Redux (20GB total), Watch Dogs (25GB), Overwatch (10GB) etc... fall with in 32GB despite being recent.

The graph itself has been said to not be the sizes of the games themselves but the space needed to download before installing so those games on discs are smaller than what's on the graph. Games are getting bigger each gen yes but it will be a while before the majority of games all require more than 32GB by default, that size seems to be around the average games are equating to now days.

This same rumour has come up again

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/05/05/rumour-nintendo-nx-to-drop-discs-for-cartridges

It's been doing the rounds for a while, imo solid state formats will return they're not only cheap now but maintain their advantages over discs as well as have overcome their disadvantages.

Now that finals are over, I can actually edit the thread again.  lol.

I added this rumor to the list.  it certianly sounds interesting, but cartridges cost more to make than discs...

Also I have updated the list.  The rumor about the July 2016 launch date has been moved to the "confirmed fake" section.

I've found a new rumor/info about NX:

Nintendo NX Allegedly Being Pitched To Developers At Russian Game Conference

http://wccftech.com/nintendo-nx-allegedly-pitched-developers-russian-game-conference/#ixzz48XFag4FS

Nintendo has possibly been pitching their upcoming console, the Nintendo NX, to developers at the Russian game conference, DevGAMM.

DevGAMM is the biggest conference for game industry professionals in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, and is targeted at professional and indie game developers, and other industry professionals.

During the conference, Nintendo’s business development manager, Ed Valiente, held a presentation about self-publishing on the Nintendo e-shop.

According to Wargaming’s production vision expert, Svyatoslav Torick, who seemingly attended the presentation, a Nintendo NX development kit is only being issued to those who have either a strongbox or a secure room. Although this is quite standard practice in for hardware that is still confidential, it does imply that Nintendo NX devkits are close to being dispatched or already being dispatched as we speak.

What's Up?

Its been refreshing with the lack of rumors as of recent. however, we have been getting more news with E3, such as just dance 2017 coming to the console. For this, I added a "confirmed true" section. Check out the first post to see the links. and as always, keep me posted on new rumors

It looks like E3 has brought back to life some NX rumors. How many more we'll get?

In general you would think that how closer you get to an initial reveal, the more the rumor leaks spring forth. But i'm not sure if that applies for Nintendo.

Nintendo is always the hardest to predict.

We'll still get new "leaks" every now and then, specially before Gamescom and TGS (if Nintendo hasn't revealed the console before).

I know this is not the best thread to talk about it, but it's been two weeks since the Eurogamer leak and I still don't understand why the device has the two detachable controllers.

It doesn't make sense and, quite frankly, it's a stupid idea.
