did anyone actually believe them?

At this point, we should go with the basic mentalities of "let's wait and see" and "let's try it before we judge."

This appears to come from Liam, who I thought people believed to be somewhat trustworthy because of his previous sources mentioning about Paper Mario and a few other rumors that became true (unless I'm thinking about someone else). So...should we believe him now?

I don't know if this controller is legit or not, but I don't want to judge until I put the controller in my hands. People complain about the Gamepad but I honestly enjoyed it because it feels comfortable in my hands and when the screen can be useful when executed well within the gameplay. People doubted the DS touch screen and the motion controls of the Wii, but these worked (for the most part) for both consoles respectively, creating new gameplay experiences.

If it turns out to be real. I no longer trust Nintendo and will not buy the console.

This is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

And when wad the last time Nintendo said anything about the NX?  

Liam, the source for this article, have been right about rumours and leaks before. I trust him way more than any of the other leaks we've had the past few days. Best news all day!

Because people judge by its cover. 

Just like the PSVR and VR in general. People are willing to pay that much money without trying how it feels like. 

He's been right before, regarding leaks and rumours. He's also done a lot for unseen64, uncovering canceled games and things like that. He also has a Youtube account where he publishes videos of canceled games, and the story behind studios that shut down. From what I can tell, he's pretty "legit"
