Chitose (the girl with the glasses) has Shipping Sickness like ... some people here.  Fortunately (or unfortunately because of blood loss) there are triggers all over the place.

I'm Kyouko x Yui, btw.  Though both of them are the objects of a crush from someone else, they should always be together.

Holy shit, her name is Chitose? This must be fate.

Kyouko/Yui OTP. Those people with a crush can just...go. Have a big sad party with all the childhood friends that have been rejected over the years.

But seriously, I might dig those two when I read or watch it. I have a habit of shipping characters with the strongest relationship, rather than the ones that are romantic on one or both sides. Just a ship dynamic find more interesting. Seeing a couple start from scratch and build up to a relationship catches my interest more than ones that are half or fully formed. Just a personal preference though...*shrugs*

Pokoko: I don't care tell me something I would care about.

Boom: Okay, how about this.

Hiro Mashima Confirms Fairy Tail's Ending

Apparently, he says it will end it in about two volumes, which tells me he's ending it on his own terms. Nice to hear that happen for once.

The part of his statement below was interesting to read:

Since my previous work was quite a heavy story, I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to go a bit light this time. But, even so, this story turned into something with a huge war. A big difference between the previous work and this one is that Natsu is not fighting for world peace, right? In the previous one, the characters were fighting to protect the world. This time, they just want to protect their guild. Natsu even said in the Edolas arc, “We joined the guild to live, that’s why I don’t care about the world.”

Basically comparing the MCs of Rave Master and Fairy Tail. Haru was basically Shounen Jesus towards the end, so I'm a bit grateful he moved away from that...even if Natsu's idiocy was obnoxious even by the genre standards. I do wish Hiro wasn't so afraid to make the story "heavy" again. Character death isn't necessarly a good thing, but Rave Master had some of the best written death scenes I've read in this medium...so it felt odd that he became so allergic to character death in Fairy Tail.

I feel kinda weird...since though I always complained about Hiro's anti-climactic writing and non-stop plot contrivances...there was definitely a charm to it, and you can tell he had passion. Even when the fights were annoying as hell, the characters held my interest, and the comedy portions always amused me.

He already confirmed he'll be starting a new manga right after Fairy Tail ends...and honestly, I'll probably give it a go.

...I just really hope it's not another battle manga.

Well, I've caught up on 'We Can't Study'. I found this to be a surprisingly fun manga to read. I honestly had low expectations, with it focusing on studying, but it's full of funny moments and bits of humor here and there, as well as silly, cute drawings too. The characters are pretty great too.

I found the first part of your post more interesting than anything about Fairy Tail.  Hmph!

I also prefer relationships that have real depth.  That's why the whole "confession of love by someone they don't even know" feels so shallow to me.  I don't blame someone at all for rejecting that.  Kyouko and Yui honestly care about each other, it's nothing like a crush at all.  Likewise, even though Ayano has a crush on Kyouko and Chitose helps her with that, she and Chitose care about one another so much that I want to see them together instead.

Oh, and Fairy Tail should have been a rom-com, anyway.

I side with Hirotaka on that.  Pokemon GO is casual accepted.

Pairing up random guys you see on the street, however ...

Also, dear goodness, Hana looks incredibly sexy here.

Latest Kako and the False Detective was pretty good.  The best "mystery" yet.

I was thinking something similar to that too, haha. Though I think she looks sexy majority of the time.

As for Kako, I'm just hoping it updates soon. It actually has an interesting twist with a kid being the killer.

And I'm really late for this, but I think the sleepy girl is my favorite. Science girl has her moments, but she's a little too serious for me.

Sleepy girl ...?  Over Science girl?

Kyouko-chan is the best.

xD I'm sorryy, I just like cute, cheery girls like her... I do admit though reading more chapters, science girl is quite cute and quirky. I like how she tried to act tough, but looks very funny when caught in her faults. Plus, she plays cards/board games, which is just awesome. Swim girl maybe be too high energy level for me...

I can't read Naruto without screaming in agony. That might be worth a shot.

In all seriousness, Cloudman is the horror manga pro here, he'll have some good ones for you. :P

Manga Updates

One Piece: Backstory Time

Nice, Luffy got things back on track. Right in the nick of time too.

Sanji saving his family was great. The way Judge was forced to look up to the son he always looked down was poignant I thought. Curious what they'll do after this. I can't see them joining the Strawhat Fleet with the baggage Judge has...but maybe Reiju will leave and become an ally. That would be swell.

I'm definitely curious about Big Mom's childhood. Seems like she has a deep connection to Elbaf. Maybe she's part giant herself? It's hard to tell with how varied the characters sizes are in this manga...but it might play into why Big Mom hates Bege's wife so much, having ruined her chances to get closer to her former home.

Shokugeki: Surprise...

Not. Souma beats the artisan at her own game.

I actually liked the explanation though. Nene's cooking style is so rigid, it never even occured to her that the cooler room temperature would affect her flavor so slightly. Souma called on his experience serving actual people, so he deserves the win here. It reinforces the difference between those who cook for actual human beings, and those who don't.

Hopefully the Megashima and Isshiki fights are shown. I have a feeling most of these battles will be half-assed, other than Souma's. Definitely hyped for Erina's fight, she hasn't had a legit fight since she beat that nobody to shut his club down.

My Hero Academia: The Day Has Come!

Ah yeah, time to save Eri!! I hope they're all ready.

I hope this doesn't go too horribly awry. I'm worried, since Overhaul is already aware of the presense. Seems the sneak attack plan has already failed, so hopefully they can brute force it.

Promised Neverland: *plays Saria's Song*

Oh no! Where'd everyone go?

Seems the demons have other connections outside the farm, so this escape isn't quite over. I'm definitely anxious though...why the heck are most of the kids missing? Is it a weird forest thing...or are the demons involved?

*sweats*

Fairy Tail: Nakama Power

Lucy brought Natsu back, and now he's ready to go..again. It seems like she's using cheat codes by going into his own book. She can do it though...she's the one that knows Natsu best. Go team!

I wonder how long this fight will go for. It would be pretty lame if it ended after this one clash...but this is Fairy Tail ater all.

Boi, I gotcha covered. I'll list a few different kinds for you, incase you have a sort of preference.

If you want something really scary that'll make you feel uneasy, even after you finish it, I recommend Ibitsu - A story about a guy who goes outside to take out his trash one evening to find a strange girl dressed in white lolita clothes. She asks if he had a sister, which he gives a reply, and causes her to start following him, trying to become his sister.

If you want short, self contained stories (minus a few multi-parter stories), I recommend Screaming Lessons - A collection of short stories told by a high school girl usually having morales or lessons to teach from unfortunate things that happen to various people.

If you want really short stories of strange (and at times comical) happenings, there's Fuan no Tane - A collection of short strange and usually unexplainable happenings. They're usually a few pages each,  so these are short burst spooky tales.

In case you want more, I have more titles to share, like the Drifting Classroom - About a school that is suddenly sent to an unknown distant future, and the students and staff must try to survive in this wasteland of a place. I can share more if you'd like.
