pokoko said: Chitose (the girl with the glasses) has Shipping Sickness like ... some people here. Fortunately (or unfortunately because of blood loss) there are triggers all over the place. I'm Kyouko x Yui, btw. Though both of them are the objects of a crush from someone else, they should always be together. |
Holy shit, her name is Chitose? This must be fate.
Kyouko/Yui OTP. Those people with a crush can just...go. Have a big sad party with all the childhood friends that have been rejected over the years.
But seriously, I might dig those two when I read or watch it. I have a habit of shipping characters with the strongest relationship, rather than the ones that are romantic on one or both sides. Just a ship dynamic find more interesting. Seeing a couple start from scratch and build up to a relationship catches my interest more than ones that are half or fully formed. Just a personal preference though...*shrugs*
Pokoko: I don't care tell me something I would care about.
Boom: Okay, how about this.
Hiro Mashima Confirms Fairy Tail's Ending
Apparently, he says it will end it in about two volumes, which tells me he's ending it on his own terms. Nice to hear that happen for once.
The part of his statement below was interesting to read:
Since my previous work was quite a heavy story, I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to go a bit light this time. But, even so, this story turned into something with a huge war. A big difference between the previous work and this one is that Natsu is not fighting for world peace, right? In the previous one, the characters were fighting to protect the world. This time, they just want to protect their guild. Natsu even said in the Edolas arc, “We joined the guild to live, that’s why I don’t care about the world.”
Basically comparing the MCs of Rave Master and Fairy Tail. Haru was basically Shounen Jesus towards the end, so I'm a bit grateful he moved away from that...even if Natsu's idiocy was obnoxious even by the genre standards. I do wish Hiro wasn't so afraid to make the story "heavy" again. Character death isn't necessarly a good thing, but Rave Master had some of the best written death scenes I've read in this medium...so it felt odd that he became so allergic to character death in Fairy Tail.
I feel kinda weird...since though I always complained about Hiro's anti-climactic writing and non-stop plot contrivances...there was definitely a charm to it, and you can tell he had passion. Even when the fights were annoying as hell, the characters held my interest, and the comedy portions always amused me.
He already confirmed he'll be starting a new manga right after Fairy Tail ends...and honestly, I'll probably give it a go.
...I just really hope it's not another battle manga.
