We still don't have official infos but for now all points that NX is coming this year and that Zelda U will get Twilight Princess treatment (it was released on GameCube and Wii in almost same time) and that will become cross platform game and launch title for NX.

Question is do you think Zelda U like launch game will help NX, if you think it will help how much exactly will help, and how many millions of copies of Zelda U will be sold on NX alone!?

Will it be relevant to the NX launch?Yes.Will it sell well on NX?Most likely yes.Will it bring new players to a Nintendo console?Thats the question that cant be answered.It will certainly bring some people in, the same way i bet that twillight princess on Wii did, but will it be a significant number?That I dont think anyone can know.

In the end I personally think it will help, but not enough to make the console succesful.The NX needs two things in my opinion:an excellent hardware, and superb new game, in the sense that it either use known franchises but that revolutionises the genre or the industry itself, or a brand new IP, that gets everyone excited, like Splatoon did.

Of course, why wouldn't it help ? last time I checked there are more people who didn't bought a Wii U than did in the world so of course it's better to have it on NX too...

Mario and zelda are without a doubt the main reason the vast majority of people buy a nintendo console.
Are you seriously asking if it haveing zelda as a launch title will help it? How the f*** could it not?

Look at the Wii U and its launch titles,.... pretty sure that is one of the reasons it sold so poorly.
Nintendo need a 3D platformer Mario & zelda ready for every console launch they do.

Launch it with the port and a game like Wii Sports and you're golden, as long as the system is a reasonable price.

sure it will help. The impact just wont be as big as many are expecting i guess.
A Mario Kart launch title would help alot more for sure.
A new gimmicky similar to motion controls and wii sports would help ALOT more.

Also we still dont know what NX is. Nintendo said, NX shouldnt replace wii u. Zelda U on NX would definitly help NX a bit, but also damage wii u as well.

Sales on NX probl. 2 mio if NX is similar to a tradional home console.

not the vast majority of people. The vast majortiy of people bought nintendo consoles because of gimmicks (motion controls, wii sports) or in terms if handhelds pokemon.

Also mario kart, Smash and co are all way bigger hitters then zelda. Skyward sword sold 4 mio copies on 100mio installed hw base. Not very impressive.

Sure it will help. But it wont make the nx a success. And it probl wont help significant. People wont go and buy an NX to play zelda if they:

- already own a wii u where they can play the game

- already own a ps4 where they have games like Witcher 3, Final Fantasy 15, GTA V and much, much more popular games

- can get a ps4 cheaper where they can get alot more popular aaa titles.

Well there a some people who think that Zelda U like launch title on NX will not help much...buy I personally curious to see how much exactly people think Zelda U will help NX and what kind of number they expecting.

Would GTA V helped the wii u if its was released back in 2013 on wii u as well? Probl yes. it would/could be the best version of the game. Did it happened? no.
It would easily sell 2-3 mio copies as well on wii u, would bring another audience on the wii u.
Nintendo could easily made a agreement with rockstar games to bring that game to wii u. Would be possible. Probl nintendo had to pay for it or help developing or anything like that.
