Forums - Sony Discussion - Dark Cloud 2: Perfect Example of Poor Emulation

1. What? How are you pressing L3 by accident?

2. If it is really that big of a deal, just remap the button in the PS4 settings.

3. This is not an emulation issue.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

This isn't a new shortcut that was created through emulation. It was this way in the original game. But I don't know what to tell you because I've not had this problem at all! I mean not once! My 8 years old son also plays the game and hasn't had the problem. Maybe it's just you. And I don't mean that meanly because I have that issue while playing Uncharted and The Last Of Us. Clicking the stick switches shoulders in those games and when I'm playing multiplayer I often click the sticks by mistake. But then I see others play and they don't have the same issue I have. So...

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

I dunno. Clicking L3 and/or R3 by accident so often that it ruins the game experience sounds weird to me.

I am complaining about this BECAUSE I never had the problem with the PS2 version. I think the analog stick is just much more sensitive on the Dualshock 4, or the controller I'm using is anyway. Since I appear to be the only one really having this issue.

I wasn't aware that I could remap them. Thanks. My left analog stick must be a little screwy for some reason. I have been using it almost every day for over two years now.

I've clicked down L3 a few times while using the pstv, annoying when it happens in that because it changes both sticks to being touch controls rather than acting as sticks anymore, but.... I mean it happens very rarely and during fighting games were there is very fast panicy controls, MVC3 etc, Don't really think I've ever frantically been mashing the stick about in a rpg.

Also as others said, this isn't an emulation issue also indeed if you go into the console settings you can change custom button setup to bind L3 to something else.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

You must press your analog sticks really hard.

L3 and R3 are actually difficult to press.

On PS4? I can't see how that'd be possible. On PS3 I could see it because some Sixaxis controllers had janky sticks that would actually click in from little pressure.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

If there's a button I've never pressed by accident, that's definitively L3. Because whenever I have to, it feels so weak I genuinely feel my DS4 controller is going to break.

Right! I especially hate it when games have you press L3 to run - you get used to it, but man, it doesn't feel good until you do.

Far Cry 4 comes to mind. I never wanted to sprint because I had to resort to it. I had to, but I didn't feel good about it.
