Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Picross 3D: Round 2 seems to be coming to the West

So Picross 3D: Round 2 has apparently been rated by the German ratings board, USK, and therefore it would seem that this game is confirmed for a European (and therefore likely American as well) release. I wanted to gauge people's excitement for this because I think Picross 3D was a hidden gem on the DS and I think it's fantastic news if its sequel does make its way across here.

As someone who is utterly fed up with pokemon picrosses grinding, but nonetheless addicted, I can see myself dropping a few bucks on this. The 3D aspect will add a whole other level of challenge.

Yeah, I gave up on Pokémon Picross because of the grinding unfortunately. Trust me, the puzzles work great in 3D, and there is something really satisfying about carving out 3D objects.

I'm now interested in the Picross Series, but having to continually grind in Pokemon Picross, I probably won't get this game :p

I hope both of you know that daily practice in Pokémon Picross can be played more than once a day. That doesn't mean less grinding, but you can plow through the game at a much quicker pace.

It's hard to imagine that there will be grinding in Picross 3D: Round 2. The only reason why there is grinding in Pokémon Picross is it's free-to-start nature.

Most likely, but what I'm saying is that I would be too preoccupied with Pokemon Picross to play the other one :p

First off, you don't even know when Picross 3D releases. Secondly, you can't spend much time per day on PP due to its limitations. Thirdly, your time is better spent on a good game than the PP travesty.

I'll keep that in consideration :p

I do like to play stages again though, in order to get 0 time on each level and finish missions that I may have missed.. and it's not like I only play Pokemon Picross, just when I have a few minutes of free time, this is the go to game

I never really got around to playing a Picross game. But I would be very interested if this game came over to the US in giving it a try.

Does this somehow involve tinkering with the internal clock of the 3ds?

To me, Picross 3D is miles better than the standard Picross. It was so satisfying to chip away lines of blocks on the original, plus the controls worked perfectly. It became one of my favourite DS games.

Note sure I like the voxels changing into predefined shapes in this sequel.
