Ok, I wanna ask, is there another gaming franchise with so much theories and speculations like zelda? Theories and speculations are my favorite part when I'm waiting for a new zelda game, because fans are too creative. I think that's why the zelda franchise should never have all the answers. What's your favorite zelda theory? if you don't like zelda what's your favorite theory from a video game.

I agree, leaving things for the player to find and speculate is one of the reasons I enjoy zelda as much as I do. Coming up with theories and discussing them with friends never gets boring always brings a smile to our faces :)
But hey that's just a theory...

Its insane how awesome and huge the Pokemon lore is ;o!

The way they place the lore is really clever as well. The PokeDex gives you so much information with myths and legends. Stuff you wish you could see but can't. It's a great method of story telling. Not counting other stuff like the Creation Story in Sinnoh or the multiverse theory in OR/AS, and even the old "PokeGods" theories that were everywhere in the early 2000's. There's so much stuff in the series that it's absolutely insane

I love watching Zelda theories on youtube every once in a while. They are perfect for those days I have little time to eat and need to disconnect while watching something short xD
My favourite are the Zelda U theories, for obvious reasons.

There's a theory that says Bongo Bongo is a Sheika traitor. That the history of blood talked about in the Shadow Temple is because a Sheika genocide ordered by the King.

OP: I agree, theories make people talk about the game/series, which creates hype and interest.

Nintendo shouldn't have released an official timeline for Zelda, not only because it kills a lot of the mystery, but also because the given explanations aren't necessarily good and that has the potential to make everything worse.
