They get a lot of crap from gamers. Broken games, unfinished games, low quality, etc. But how many other developers push out as much as they do? Not just pushing out games, but pushing out games that people really want to play!

The list just does not stop and they push out a lot of games each year. Sure, GTA and Metal Gear and a few other games are the ones that push the review scores to the ceiling, but you only get one of those every 3-5 years. Ubisoft gives you a consistent turout of of games that you are actually excited for and have a lot of fun playing.

Despite Nintendo being a big game developer, I almost want to say Ubisoft gives them a run for their money.

They're better than EA and MUCH better than Activision, as far as western third-party mega-publishers are concerned.

Nope, not even by a longshot. They are still one of the devs out there that I dislike quite a lot. The fact they still force Uplay, an already worse client than even the likes of Origin on you, half baked ports, seeing the same type of game with the same type of plot and mechanics over and over again gets super dull for me.

Until they completely revamp Uplay and stop forcing it through steam or drop it altogether along with putting more focus on stellar ports that aren't delayed then they will earn my trust and money back. Until then they've got neither.

Ubisoft is doing a good job at playing the hype game, but in the aftermath most people have so-so opinions about most of their games. It's hard to imagine that many people consider Ubisoft their favorite developer, because Ubisoft's track record isn't anywhere close to good, let alone stellar.

their main problem IMO is their marketing team. they seem to insist on announcing games WAY to early. and it always results in the same thing, downgrades. which kills a lot of excitement for a lot of people. just for the inevitable Ghost Recon downgrades, and it will suffer the same thing that The Division, Watch Dogs and AC Unity experienced.

as a publisher, they do have a fucking wide variety of games on offer. Assassins Creed, Farcry, The Crew, For Honor, The Division, Watch Dogs, Rainbow Six, Child of Light, Rayman and South Park. they really do pump out a lot of pretty good games, and in a lot of different genres.
