EA just said it at their financial conference call.

Also the game sold more than 13 million.

I'm officially impressed. That's too much!

Looks like this partnership was a complete success for both EA and Sony. It will be interesting to see how Battlefront 2 (4?) performs and if there will be a fight for its advertisement rights.

Let's see first who will get the advertisement rights for the Star Wars game that Visceral is making. This might give us a clue ;).

Weren't we supposed to boycott this game for lack of content? Alright who gave in to the dark side? admit it..

Wow. Those numbers are incredibly depressing. What a sad state for the gaming industry.

According to NPD leaked numbers (via NeoGAF) it did over 1.1million in the US alone (375k in November, ~740k in December)

They also said that sell through was very high. So I fully expect sales to match or exceed that of Battlefield 3 as Battlefront is currently tracking ahead.

For reference, Battlefield 3 sold in 12m in the same time frame and the last number we have for the game is 17m.

I think it will reach 17m eventually. Will depend from the DLC and overall support. 

The game is a lot of fun. Its a tight DICE fps with a Star Wars skin, whats not to love.

The internet seems really intent on hating on it, but its great (imo)

Actually the game is really fun.  Great change of pace from call of duty.  Can't wait for titanfall 2 as well.
