Forums - Gaming Discussion - VGChartz Greatest Video Game Character Tournament 2015 - Nominations

Hello fellow VGCharters, this is your brand new competition: The Greatest Video Game Character Tournament. Here, your favorite characters will battle against each other for the top spot!

These are the nomination steps:

  • First, all of you will nominate UP TO 8 video game characters of your choice. You can also nominate less than 8 characters, it's up to you.

  • There will be 30 pre-selected characters to avoid too many repetitive votes. For example: Mario is a very obvious choice, so he'll already be pre-selected. You can check the full list of preselected characters below:
  • Pac-Man (1980)
  • Mario (1981)
  • Donkey Kong (1981)
  • Link (1986)
  • Samus Aran (1986)
  • Snake (1987)
  • Ryu (1987)
  • Mega Man (1987)
  • Sonic (1991)
  • Kirby (1992)
  • Scorpion (1992)
  • Rayman (1995)
  • Pikachu (1996)
  • Chris Redfield (1996)
  • Lara Croft (1996)
  • Crash Bandicoot (1996)
  • Cloud Strife (1997)
  • Banjo (1997)
  • Conker (1997)
  • Spyro (1998)
  • Gordon Freeman (1998)
  • Joanna Dark (2000)
  • Dante (2001)
  • Master Chief (2001)
  • Kratos (2005)
  • Marcus Fenix (2006)
  • Nathan Drake (2007)
  • Sackboy (2008)
  • Ezio (2009)
  • Alan Wake (2010)

  • The top 30 most voted characters by users will make it to the actual competition and join the other pre-selected 30.
  • Then the competition will actually start: There will be daily threads for voting.
  • You can vote until February 3rd.

Rules:

  • You can nominate any video game character.
  • You can only vote once.
  • You can vote UP TO 8 CHARACTERS.
  • DO NOT vote for characters that are already in the pre-selected list.

Big Boss/Naked Snake/whatever the hell you wanna call him (Metal Gear Solid)

Snake counts as both Solid Snake and Big Boss in our eyes (for the sake of this tournament,) so choose another character, please.
