No... The impressive thing, is that Nintendo just has the guts to reveal the sales of a low selling console, its home console, defying the possible negative feedback, unlike with another company and its handheld console...

That's because that other console which is actually still ahead of the Wii U is never getting a successor.  That other company aka Sony have zero titles in development for it and they'll only continue to support it with 3Rd party content in Japan for a few more years for the profits.

Nintendo I imagine want to try and pull off another Wii next gen so they are trying to stay relevant.  Apples and oranges tak San

Pure excuse... Even if we accept the apples and oranges, the case doesn't alter?

Deal with it OnekarTVITA! SO IT'S good that sony  is hiding psv sales for you... You approve that... eh? You would not like to learn the exact sales of it?

Hurry, though I'm not sure that this should be celebratory after it being on the market as long as it has.

They are not insane to celebrate about it... They are just informing anyone who was wondering about its sell-through LTD!

Uh... hooray.....?

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Correction: This article originally said that Wii U’s unit sales surpassed 11 million, but that’s not accurate. Nintendo has actually sold 11 million Amiibo figures in the U.S. I apologize for the error.

You say that like I'm disappointed with it.  Whether they hide it or not the Vita is still bigger than the Wii U and the PS4 is doing way better than the 3DS especially software.

Edit: Turns out it was amiibo.  So you should retract the praise you just gave them until they actually announce new numbers.

Source is wrong, Nintendo didn't announce anything.

Yeah, I was suspecting that, the source was too nebulous but in the end I believed it... the 11m figure pertains to amiibo sales LTD

No I don't retract it... Because they reveal its shipments every quarter, so the praise stays as is....

I'm not going to follow you into consoles war futile thing...;)

11 million of anything is still a lot, can you even visualize 11 million Wii U's in one place? It would fill up the Super Bowl, thats a mega ton of plastic and wire

Anyway I digress :P
