They'll run from December 22nd at 10am PT and end on January 4th at 10am PT, and there won't be daily or flash sales.

The lack of daily/flash sales surprises me. I'm actually kind of happy though: no need to angst over whether that 60% off will become 80% off in just a few days.

And it's also good for our wallet, with no daily/flash sales we won't suffer from impulsive purchases.

The negative is that if it's like this present sale then most the discounts will be terrible. This has been the worst steam sale of all. I've bought two things, last few times it's been around 20/30. I do always play through my purchases as well. I don't suspect I'm the only one who finds these prices out of whack with prior steam sales.
