There won't be trains, but I do think there'll be something fitting into the "technology" category for movement. Why?

That looks like it's magical technology, to me. And where there's one piece of magical technology, there's bound to be more, including useful tech.
Incidentally, here's an interesting observation...
Ocarina of Time: Light
Wind Waker: Water
Twilight Princess: Shadow
Skyward Sword: Spirit
And now Zelda U looks like it might be Forest. Note that it's a list of the "main" 3D console titles - Link saves Zelda in these games (Majora's Mask has a different "theme"). For those wondering what the deal is with the categorisation, especially of OoT and SS... think first about the "guide" characters - Navi is a little source of light, King of Red Lions is a boat (water), Midna is an imp (shadow), and Fi is the spirit of a sword. The games also share themes appropriate to those - Time is linked to Light in OoT, WW obviously has the water theme, TP obviously has the shadow theme, and then SS has the main bad guy being another spirit of a sword, Zelda's practically a spirit (god) reborn, and the big bad is also a spirit (demon).
And the transport also follows the themes. The Ocarina's warp songs produce light, the boat is, again, water, the transport in TP is by midna moving Link through the shadows, and a bird in flight has a natural link to spirits.
And that's why I bring this up - I'm betting (colloquially speaking) that there's a forest connection to both the transport and the guide. Trains really don't evoke forests, to me.
