so , SF:V need to die too ?

No, only deals Microsoft makes are bad. Anything sony does is to be celebrated, and is great. I find it funny that this game selling bad is being celebrated by Sony fans, and saying that deals like this need to stop, but sony paying for deals left and right is totally fine.... love the double standards.

Sony gets flack all of the time, some of it undeserved. I don't see many people celebrating, I think you are misinterpreting the situation. What deals did Sony make that were comperable to this one? Did they pay to delay any franchise that was more popular on Xbox? What double standards exactly?

Why anyone thought this would be a huge hit is beyond me. MS tried to give it FFVII treatment with all the hype around it.

It probably would've been The Order:1886 but I think it's opening week was like 600k+ so 6:1 ratio of a game that is 10x better is a darn shame. People fucked up on multiple levels with this one.

Mass effect andromeda has been announced for both systems. If Sony were to pay EA to delay the game on XB1 the platform it built its main fanbase on for 2 games for a year because it didn't have anything to compete with an upcoming release would be a major dick move that we would all give the same treatment MS is getting for tomb raider.

Whatever man.

No PS4 gamer has ever criticised Sony's exclusives decisions...oh wait I did SFV specifically in point of fact.

Oh well, at least every PS4 gamer has called MS evil for making Sunset Overdive Xbox exclusive...oh wait, I didn't. In fact I see Sunset Overdrive (and Titanfall) as good examples of 3rd party exclusivity deals. New IP, looking for some financial backing to spread the risk. I'm a bit pissed at Sony for allegedly not coming to the party with SO, because they apparently wanted Insomniac to keep pumping out Ratchet and Clank. MS actually held out a helping hand after Insomniac was left bloodied and bruised from the absue it suffered under EA's yoke of focus group tyranny.

I seem to have brought out the mob with my comment, lol. I stand by what I said, you can be as defensive about it as you want, that's ok. A full thread talking about how x1 exclusive deal was bad for this game and how it flopped. Ok, great. But then when comments are happy about it, don't come in full defense mode about it when someone calls it. It is what it is. And as far as showing you who said this, or said that, I'm not wasting my time looking for anything... that's not worth my time. I see it practically every day here, so if you want to see it, look for it yourself.

That's pretty hypocritical coming from you, since you were gloating about your early access to the game, and mocking the PS4 fans about having to wait one year.

"Have fun waiting."

And you got 8 thumbs up for that, so clearly you're not the only one herewho enjoys gloating and mocking the PS4 fans.
And there is a difference between funding and co-developing a game that didn't have the R&D funds to begin development, as opposed to paying just to delay the game for the other fanbase. Something you were gloating about.
You can do that all you want, but at least be honest about it instead of playing the martyr in another topic.
For the record, I'd rather Sony didn't make that deal with Capcom as I'd rather as many people as possible play SFV, but that's not a great comparison to Tomb Raider. What Sony did with Tomb Raider 2 for PS1 is a closer comparison.

Damn.  Way to wait this one out, Hiku!

Everytime Microsoft makes exclusivity deals publishers fails to make good profits. Everytime Sony does, like Black Ops 3 or Star Wars, it is a good deal.

I don't care if this game flops. That will teach them not making bad decisions.

Terribly wrong.

Nothing was wrong with anything except the release date

Seems like he was responding to someone who was downplaying it doesn't it? Where's the rest or who he was responding to. Doesn't look like he just wrote that for nothing. Shouldn't have tho.Should have just ignored.

Although VgChartz may not be accurate and doesn't include digital sales, Rise of Tomb Raider Xbox1 only sold 105k physical copies in the US whereas as Fallout PS4 sold 1.255 million physical copies (xbox1 1.1 million physical copies).  More than 90% less than Fallout 4 PS4.  It even sold less than Fallout 4 PC physical copies (who buys PC physical disc?).

Rise of Tomb Raider may not get to 1 million global sales with holiday sales at the end of 2015.

It's doing better or similar to Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of rome, Forza 6 And Sunset Overdrive. If you look at Xbox One exclusive standards for previous sales it's overperforming or performing has expected not a sales dud has you call it.

First week sales:

Dead Rising 3 - 267K
Ryse: Son of Rome - 247.8K
Rise of Tomb Raider - 230K
(doesn't include bundle and digital sales)
Forza Horizon 2 - 227K
Sunset OVerdrive - 221.9K
Forza Motorsport 6 - 210.5K
Plant vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare - 91.1K

This game can easily maintain 75K-90k per week sales for the Holidays which would take it to 750k-900k copies sold. The fact that Microsoft foot the bills for marketing and production is actually good for this franchise. Lower sales wont hurt Microsoft and Square Enix makes a profit with less sales.
