If the purpose of the game was to have a system seller similar to uncharted then it failed pretty badly.

Well it could probably outsell Uncharted Vita.

Considering that game did basically nothing for it, don't know if it really worth it to brag about it plus considering total userbase for both games, makes TR looks worse than it already looks.

VGHART said over 5 million copies physical,

2 million stea sales

http://www.ubergizmo.com/2015/11/fallout-4-2-million-copies-on-steam/

2 plus 5 equal 7

Valve confirmed 1.2 millon first day

vg chartz said 5.1 million first week

psn and xno live shuld have sold at leats another 100 k

tht is atleast 6.4 million

a little more than blackops

The last TR sold what like 10 million + and the publishers were upset with the sales. This was anticipated a mile away. Hope heads roll with this disaster.

Well, I don't think anyone really expected much more. Square Enix most probably got the whole production financed by Microsoft, if not more, so they ought to be good. Just remember, Microsoft paid 50 million back in the days for timed exclusive GTA4 DLC, which covered pretty much the whole development costs. They have deep enough pockets. I can imagine Microsoft to expect more out of this, but that's just silly. Especially with how they handled PR.

There is a massive difference between the GTAfranchise and TR franchise. Everyone knows GTA moves consoles and software, TR hasn't proven to do this for a long time.

It would be good to know what money they have given SE for this. I still think they have a combination of:

1) marketing

2) in house developers to help with development for X1 version

3) tools from MS to help development

4) some cash

I don't think Tomb Raider really ever moved hardware, or was a massive software seller.  Sure it had a decent following (I among them), but it's ludicrous to even bring up GTA in the same sentence.  GTA is on a whole other level than pretty much all games.

the 1.2 million was day one, in the rest of the week fallout 4 steam sales probably passed the 2 million mark, black ops 3 has nt even passed 200 k mark in steam, thereofre fallout 4 still sell more

looks like it was a bust

How is pointing out that the game launched on the same day as Fallout 4 and a week after Blops III an "excuse"? lol. It's called reality. And yeah, they knew those games were launching and released TR anyway. It's still a valid reason for the game not selling as many copies as you or potentially they expected.

I give up you win

let me leave you with one last thout tomb raider is much better than fallout 4
