Please no.... Xbone is almost half as weak as PS4. PS4 had heating issues, it'll melt the Bone... 😆

July 2013... in a time where indy devs and MS couldn't agree on many things... while today we have new politics about indy devs but yeah, let's pretend noone can change their mind... remember though, business is business.

I don't know about anybody else but as long as it stays off of Xbox, I'll think it's awesome. If it gets ported, I'm going to downplay it.

This was their base statement which was recently reitterated. Psyonix is a very small studio with a shit ton to do. Changing their mind on a whim is not an option. They're not Microsoft.

Releasing on Xbox is not just a technical or financial issue. The big one is political and the possible fracturing of the playerbase. Worst case Scenario is that Xbox players will only be able to play with X1 owners or with players on Steam. That's not increasing the playerbase, that's just burdening yourself with just another institution. They already have trouble to connect Steam to PSN to allow cross platform parties.

If they actually do have an announcement this year to port on X1 I will accuse them of misappropriating their time and funds.

There will be more than 10M X1 in US coming 2016 I don't think they would pass on that kind of opportunity just because of some grudge they had a few years ago...  MS is now more than willing to work with indy devs for all kinds of deals, that includes cross play and no need to accuse them of anything because they can do whatever they want... like I said, business is business.

Basically the mentality this gen lol...

I haven't heard of any cooling issues with the Xbox one yet.. But then the ps4 on the other hand;)

They honestly should do a crossover with Mario Kart. 

Wow, so you post a statement from 2013, like it's relevant now when nearly everything he is complaining about has been changed.  Seriously, that's some reaching.   

I should have just posted the forum article it was posted in which was from this month.

As the only person on this forum who regularly follows the official forum, watches all streams and has read the complete reddit AMA they did just recently I feel qualified to say that a release on X1 is unlikely in the near future.

The official statement currently is that they want to release on as many platforms as possible but that there is nothing to announce. This is as vague as it gets. An X1 port gets asked for every week on Reddit and in the forums and from their statements it's easy to conclude that porting to X1 is not easy and that they have a very limited work force and need to be very careful in allocating their resources. That means they will go by priority and an X1 port certainly is not very far up there.

If it actually is, then they have been very misleading in their statements.
