Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should I get Super Mario Maker or Black Ops 3?

What do you think?

Super Mario Maker 105 75.54%

Black Ops 3 34 24.46%

Total:139

Alright I love Mario and I'm about 60% Nintendo, 35% Playstation and 5% Xbox... I haven't played a 2D Mario game since NSMBU  and haven't bought a Call of Duty game since Black Ops 2.... Both of those games released back in 2012 and haven't played them since 13'. I recently got into Super Mario Maker and been watching gameplay everyday and I got the BO3 demo AND I LOVED IT. But I'm not sure which one to get?! What game would you get? I'm sure I would play each games for HOURS. I currently have no Wii U games to play (I play MK8/Smash Bros/Splatoon sometimes but get bored of them easily now since I played them alot). I play Killzone mercenary on my Vita alot but I want to get back into home console shooting matches.

Wow... two completely different / opposite experiences.... well..

I know how it sucks to be short on money. I´d say get both! But if you have to choose I´d recommend get Super Mario Maker now and leave Call Of Duty BO3 for later.... it won´t take long until you can find it cheaper. As for SSM, it will take a looooong time before it gets cheaper.

You will probably regret gettong CoD by this time next year. Mario Maker has staying power.

But heres an idea: Splatoon. Its a mix of both.

If money is the issue, I would say buy SMM. BLOPS3 will depreciate in value and the community will be there well until next year and beyond. Otherwise I would just get both

Like others said, go with Mario Maker. COD games value go down super fast and you can probably find it much cheaper in a couple of months, meanwhile a game like Mario Maker stays 60$ for a long time

Currently most hyped for: FFXV and Zelda U

I love Nintendo but I'm going to say black Ops 3 hands down!!! I don't normally care for CoD and the last CoD game that I truly loved was CoD 4: Modern Warfare. Black Ops III that good, holy crap is it ever a fantastic game. The online multiplayer just might be the best of this generation so far!!!!!

The campaign in Black Ops 3 is kinda cool, especially in coop. Competitive MP is really sh** tho.

Question for you, what are you planning to play Black Ops 3 on? Just that if it is a Xbox360 or PS3 I heard that the previous gen port of that game was meant to have some pretty terrible flaws in it. If that would sway your choice in any way.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Talk about varied taste.

If I had to choose, I'd go for SMM, mainly cause BLOPS3 will be irrelevant by next year, while that most likely won't be the case with SMM.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
