It seems like splitting hairs because you do care about the content being changed. But I get what you mean.

I don't care about the reason it was changed. That's my point.

People think looking out for their kids=being a religious nut.

No, perhaps you just don't want your child seeing sexual references and gory material.

two main reason:

-Cultural differences(japanese devs loves to sexualize younger girls which is fine in japan but USA is really against it)
-Here in the west, specially in USA,people are extremely sensible to anything that can be "offensive" to someone so japanese devs are either censoring their own games or not localizing at all(DOAX3).

seeing inbetween a woman's legs and the majority of her behind doesn't make a game any better.

How about 'Muricans just chill and don't play the game if they're too childish to handle a quick scene of slight nudity?

For me the Samus outfit is better than the censored one. But the fact that censor annoys me. Nintendo censored for being Nintendo, not by country or western culture. Nintendo has no reason to do that with a game for adults will still be sold only digitally.

Its always amusing to me that graphic violence and gore is acceptable but bad language and boobies will corrupt the nation :) And as for including 2 boys kissing - OMG thats a sign of society's end. But as bad as game censorship is , movie sponsorship is 10 times more hypocritical.

Why do we need censorship? Go to a elementary school busstop and listen to what comes out of the mouths of those little angels! We need a better system of keeping the adult themes and language out of the kids' range. Like your X/W/P4 requests your ID number to let it play anything above PGteen. Same with cable TV, gotta punch in your ID everytime to get M or Teen content. We are truly going to be sorry in 15 years that we allowed kids to see/hear anything they want because parents are just babysitters nowadays...

If it's a mature game, it's really stupid and pointless to censor in the first place. Just like the Aus version of Saints Row 4. They removed the dildo gun. But US people can just gift it to Aus gamers. The game has dildos in rooms, and the game has another dildo weapon anyway. Which wasn't removed.

It's true that some americans still have a prudish attitude and want to show less skin but truthly, most are unaware in what's in a game or on shows unless have an interest in it. The pru For some reason which I don't know about, some japanese companies feel the need to censor some of their products before sending them to the US. It drives me nuts with anime. This is probably more of a problem with NOA.

I like how Americans are getting blamed for Nintendo's own backwards policies.

They censored outfits and changed part of the game so that flashbacks didn't show swimsuits. NOA are the prudes, no Americans.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I dont get why someone would want to look at a video game character wearing skimpy clothes, its quite creepy and cringy!
